They diligently accumulated my extensive prescription record to prove to insurance that I had tried numerous other modalities without success. They were persistent and polite with the doctors offices which proved to be difficult when trying to obtain information. Dr. Ramos was excellent to meet with, generous with his time, and extremely knowledgeable. He seemed to get me and used all of the relavent information about me in our discussion. And while it was a teleconference, he was more engaged and caring than other psychitrist's I've seen which have been distracted or board. Ms. Packham is my technician, but also the one who chased down all my records and has kept things moving and organized, which I am challenged with. She has been incredibly patient and helpful with me, and now that treatment has started, I can see she brings her diligence to the treatment which is really important for trust when someone is exposing you to waves that can make your fingers move. It's early in treatment to say if it's working, although I am already feeling a lot better.

With his managed care and compassion, humorous personality really works great for me. He has such a great memory and always knows what you are talking about. I never feel rushed in my appointments. I might not be here if it wasn't his care that saved me so many years ago. Although, some may think he's distracted. He is very aware of everything about you and your history.

I could be any halfwit psychiatric patient, off his meds, who has lost his mind and got angry at his doctor. I assure you I'm not, and in fact the opposite now, which is why I want to share my experience becuase it is important. You will see that I have also reviewed many other things, but not a professional. Dr ElAsyouty kept me on the wrong meds for ten years and ignored the recommendations of test results while fighting me to reduce them which took me three years to get off with nasty side effects. Why is more better when it isn't working? So you add more types on top of that? He ignored all of physical side effects reported that I had also had to be medicated to treat. He prescrbed medication levels that insurance wouldn't pay for based on a peer review by another physician. I had high blood sugar, blood pressure, weight, cholesterol, trouble swallowing and TMJ pain. I am no mentally better or worse off of medications he prescrbed except that I can now enjoy feelings. A different psychiatrist asked me if I could feel anything on that level of meds. No, I'm missing ten years of feelings, both physical and mental. (Update: Still off medications and I'm totally normal. Never felt so good in my life after four months of nasty withdrawals from the wrong medications.. It's nice being back.) Nevermind that he would take phone calls and chart other patients during the short appointments we had which were billed as two separate half hour appointments to the insurance company. He would get up and walk to his desk or leave the room for other business. He has never been on time for an appointment even though I request the first appointment of the day. He is unresponsive to requests for refills and the required information, yet is diligent in requiring (often delayed) appointments in order to fill prescriptions. This has led to delays in getting medications for literally over a month, and you can't just start and stop them without adverse affects. He has been argumentative and critcal and ultimately I decided that he doesn't care much for me as a patient and is more concerned about appearing right. He rationalizes his decisions and makes excuses, but don't expect him to be humble or ever apologise for anything. Just stay away, even if he takes your insurance or Medicare.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. I wish there was an option to give 0 stars…read more I scheduled an appointment in November 2020 for a telemedicine visit with Dr. Encarnacion. Prior to the appointment, I called the office 3 times and have voicemails from them confirming that they took my insurance and that my copay would be $10. Dr. Encarnacion was very nice and listened to my concerns. The visit did feel a bit rushed and was only ~10 minutes long, but I understand that she is busy and has other patients. I followed up with her 2 weeks later for another 10 minute visit. Flash forward to mid-December and I receive a message from the office stating that insurance didn't cover my visits. I called back and was prepared to pay maybe $150-$200. NOPE-I owe $758 for two 10 minute telemedicine visits!!!! That charge apparently includes the cash patient discount. They charge $550 for each telemedicine visit. I understand that it is my responsibility to know my insurance plan, but I am no expert. That's why I called multiple times before my visits to ensure that it was covered. I'm sure I signed a form stating that I would be responsible for any balance that remained after insurance, but all of my forms were deleted off of my patient portal. I can't access them. My true issue with this practice is not the doctor, but the staff. I asked them multiple times to tell the doctor about my situation to see if she can do anything about my bill. They informed me that the doctor does not handle billing. I'm aware that the doctor does not directly handle billing, but I work for a practice in which the doctors have a say in how much they charge their patients. When I asked if the doctor was aware of how much patients were being charged, the staff said "they were not at liberty to tell me that information." The doctor clearly has no idea how much her patients owe. I mailed a letter addressed to the doctor to the office and explained my situation. The billing office opened my letter and said that they could pass the letter along to the doctor, but it couldn't include the specific amounts that I owed. This completely defeated the purpose of the letter. I mailed another letter and wrote that it was confidential and for the doctor only, and the billing office opened the letter again. Same response. I know that I am SOL, but I absolutely cannot justify paying $758 for two video visits. Only Beyoncé is worth that kind of money. The doctor has no idea how much her patients owe. Again, Dr. Encarnacion was great, but I will never schedule with this office again due to the ridiculous rates and poor treatment of patients.
