Of course, nothing in life is perfect and it sometimes seems greener on the other side. But as long as our kids are happy and motivated, The Kick is where they will remain loyal to. The Rico's are tough instructors as they need to maintain structure and discipline in class, but they're family oriented and accommodating to try to fit your needs. Very humble, good teacher, soft spoken, and cares about his students - Training wise - it can be bit repetitive, but the kids were able to learn their forms and weapons. Plus, they made many friends along the way - Unlike most schools, we did not feel pressure or "nickeled and dime". They were reasonable and fair. Negatives: - The class can be a bit repetitive. When we were there, I wished they changed it up a bit to make it less "business as usual". - Sparring and combat time is very short. Should be longer or have a dedicated class to this category. - Wished there was "more" seating area w/ a table to allow students to do their homework or parents to do their work while students are training Overall, we enjoyed our time here and we do recommend Results Martial Arts.

I wanted…read moreto leave a message for any parents who are on the fence about having their children train in martial arts, especially their daughters. Master Black presented my daughter with her black belt just before she turned 16, and this experience has been so much more than I expected. I know it wasn't always easy for her to persevere; Master Black had to have a serious heart-to-heart with her once (I think it was at the high green or low brown belt level). As a single parent, it was often challenging for me to find the money to pay for these classes or to ask friends for help with pick-ups and drop-offs when I couldn't manage it myself. Yes, I'm incredibly proud of her, and it's fun to say she's a black belt--though she won't tell you that herself. However, as the world has only gotten crazier over the years, the real value of this training has become clear. Allowing my child the freedom to explore life has been so much easier knowing she can handle herself. I cherish the memories of watching her flip 6-foot-tall Mr. Avery over her head from a choke hold multiple times (Bless you, Mr. Avery!) and of the time a salesman in a furniture warehouse startled us and I saw her immediately go into a stance without hesitation--then it was his turn to be startled, I saw his eyes go wide. These are the thoughts I hold onto as I try to sleep, knowing my daughter is "out there in the world" and not under my roof. So do it--go meet Master Black, show up, and don't give up. Thank you, Master Black and the USSD family; it truly took a village. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

I've…read moreeven been to another Cobrinha, so the moment I found out another Cobrinha academy was opening close to my house I had to give it another try because I like the system that is taught at Cobrinha compared to a Gracie or Atos academy. Walking into Cobrinha Henderson you can immediately feel the atmosphere is welcoming and about family, it's also well kept and very clean, you can tell they take pride in their academy. Professor Sam and Professor Gizelle make you feel welcomed and they take their time to talk with you as you walk in even while class is going, I guess that's the benefit of having a Husband and wife black belt duo running an academy. These two just know what they are doing. My kids love being here just as much as I do and I can see their growth just in the 3 weeks this Gym has been opened. I feel like their attention to detail with their teaching and always doing warm ups prior to going over the techniques help keep you grounded and it also forces you to have a good foundation in your Jiu Jitsu game. I was looking for a place where both our girls could attend class at the same time Cobrinha fit the bill so our girls did a trial class (13 & 6). Our youngest loved it right away, my oldest though took a week or so to warm up but that's just how she is. Coach Sam and Coach G were very patient, still pushed the girls to try new things all while having fun. After that initial week, my oldest turned to me in the car on the way home and said, "You're right Mom, after I got over my nervousness, I love jiujitsu." If you have teens, you know it's VERY rare to hear you're right about something! I think that statement is a true reflection of Cobrinha Henderson and Coach Sam and Coach G. They're both so knowledgeable, engage the kids and encourage them to try their best. If you're looking for a nurturing and welcoming place to learn jujitsu this is it! They have beginner, intermediate, advanced and adult classes.
