Rarely have I given an AF five stars, but this one made the grade. Big, open floorplan, plenty of…read morespace, and not one, not two, (most AF's have two, if you're lucky) but FOUR racks! And two of those have dedicated deadlift platforms, with bumper plates and--wait for it...a pedestal of CHALK! I can't believe I found an AF that actually values barbell safety, without signs everywhere admonishing the use of chalk. And guess what? No mess. Kudos to ownership here for understanding the value of basic barbell training vs. machines. Granted, they have plenty of machines here, if that's your thing. They have several bathroom/shower rooms, tanning rooms, classes, etc. They do have a vending machine with hydration and speed-drinks. I would have bought a recovery/protein drink if they had them, but maybe they were just sold out. They even have a Keurig machine for use here too, but you may need to bring your own pods. Would highly recommend this gym, and definitely, if barbell training is your thing. Great place!

ATA does not practice what they teach. We went to Mesquite TX for Districts and was told if you…read moredrop a weapon you can not win. Then we compete in Phoenix and people drop a weapon and become a World Champion. Then when we question we get kicked out- see below. This wasn't about not winning it was about the make your rules as you go. They say no earring and only white T-shirts' for the ladies but don't enforce it. They also think it is acceptable to judge your own students. The school owners stood across from the judges intimidating them until their daughter won. I am not disgruntled because we didn't win, we have won many, I want it fair no matter what age.
