I would give workout anytime Danville VA location negative stars if it would allow it. Upon joining this gym in March 2024 the Danville VA location was great. Nearly one month later the manager quit and one of the trainers was fired. Maybe a form of staff reduction. Since April you never know when the gym will be staffed. I complained to the owner Jerry Pugh by email about the gym not being staffed. At first he would not respond. He had the current Danville location manager respond which was no help because she was allowing the staff to leave the gym when they want, in fact she was encouraging the staff to leave early. The very next week after complaining to the owner, the location's staff hours were drastically reduced. You might ask, why is this a big deal? My wife and I both have the premium membership which allows you to tan and bring a guest only during staff hours. Now with reduced staff hours and down to only 2 staff members including the manager and one more staff member, the manager refuses to remain in the gym during the short hours that the establishment is open. I asked the manager to let me know if she was leaving the gym early so my wife and I could make sure we tan and the current manager (Teresa) responded by saying that she couldn't cater to everyone because she has stuff to do and has a life too. When I finally got a response from the owner (Jerry Pugh) his response was that he owned 20 other locations and could not manage his people. In conclusion I have reached out asking for solutions with absolutely no help from the owner or the location manager. Only smart aleck remarks from them both. I am paying premium price for this location's premium membership and being refused the premium amenities that I was promised when joining the gym along with reduced staff hours. I have asked to terminate my membership without any early termination fees. The owner will not discuss this with me and the current manager will not contact anyone to make this happen. In fact the current manager is very spiteful and unprofessional, she told me that she wish that I would have let her handle this situation instead of contacting corporate. I couldn't talk to her about any issues because she only worked till 4:00PM Monday through Friday and no weekends at all. I can't get to the gym before 5:00PM Monday through Friday and weekends. I have the email communication between Jerry Pugh and myself and I have the text of the conversations between Teresa and I for anyone who would like to see the way this gym is ran. I also have videos of the staff leaving early and the manager during staff hours although they are already reduced. Again, I would give workout anytime Danville VA location negative stars if it would allow it.
