I was highly pleased with this Anytime Fitness location…read more I visited the gym while passing through the area, and my experience couldn't have been better. The facility was clean and stylish, and stocked with a full range of good, modern equipment. The floor was comfortably large, and complete, with an aerobics room and multiple bathrooms (and even a hydro-massage room). Also, another big plus: the toilet paper was the good, double-ply kind (it might sound like a small thing, but it was a pleasant surprise after using so many restrooms stocked with the cheapest, flimsiest TP known to man). All in all, a great gym, to which I would gladly return. My thanks goes out to all associated with this business. I am grateful for, and have benefited from, your work and service. Keep it up, ladies and gents!

Instead she started talking about how I went out the back door yesterday. At first, I didn't even know what she was talking about because I have been exiting that door since I've been a member over two years now. So when I started to explain that to her, she frowned up her face and stated it says emergency. I replied, I know what the sign says, and I have seen several other members exit through there all the time. If you google planet fitness it states you can go to that exit door if you are parking back in which I am, so I never thought nothing of it. I don't have a problem with not using the back door since there is no sign there stating you cannot exit. I do have a problem with her approach. When dealing with the public, you should always have a smile on your face and a good rapport with people what she is lacking. Instead, she stands up there with her phone in her hand most of the time or talking among other staff members. I did call corporate and speak with customer service representatives to notify him of the situation. He did clarify some things concerning the back door and I understood clearly. He did state that her behavior was unacceptable and gave me a months free membership.

Prior to moving down here 2 years ago (during Covid) I would come here as a guest when visiting my brother. Didn't really pay much attention to the machines and such at that time. But now - tv's don't work well at all - today there were none on. When they are on, 4 are running a loop of ads, 2 are Spectrum News1 and another is a sports channel that is ALWAYS on pause. Add to that that the same 4 machines have been out of order for weeks. Additionally, the tv's on the machines don't work. Perhaps it's some things were addressed and repaired. I would love to have a Planet Fitness in Moore County. I was a PF member when I lived in CT and they kept it very clean and all the amenities in working order. I've noticed the same at several other PF's as well weh I've gone on vacation. If something was not working, it was fixed quickly. That should be the expectation of any gym, shouldn't it?

Initially I went to Pure Barre Southern Pines for a complimentary lesson because I really needed to…read morefind a place to work out. It was a good workout so I signed up for the special which was for lessons during the next month for $55. I didn't know if my body would hold up for this because it is quite strenuous Plus I didn't have much energy left when I would come home from work. So I ended up only going to two sessions of the four I was allotted. No problem at that point however they automatically debited my bank account for $69 for the next month. I was unaware that I had signed up for anything more than the special package of four lessons. Unfortunately I am older and live very close to the budget... Meaning I have to keep very close track of my spending and income. So, it was a shock to me that they went ahead and debited my account without my formal authorization. No one told me they were going to do that when I signed up for the $55 special. I called them to complain but they refuse to refund my money! Instead they said and they forced this on me that they would give me a total of 7 sessions meaning the two that I had left from the special plus five more to use before December. I was not happy about this because my body was not taking well to the extreme exercise. Plus anything coming out of my bank account without my knowing is never a good thing. I have not been back to Pure Barre since last May or June.. I have been moving from a place that I lived in for 14 years and that is a total nightmare. I came across their leaflet so I called them again about getting my $69 back and the first girl I spoke to was new period. And said she would talk to the office manager Mary. Well Mary called me back later on with an attitude that I was some kind of a pest who had called her number of times. I do not recall calling more than once or twice when they took that money. She was rude and obnoxious and had no interest in helping the situation. But proceeded to lie and try to pass me off to their corporate headquarters regarding the situation. She spoke over me and then hung up on me!! I called back and left a message and no one has responded. I know she never spoke to the owner regarding the situation but she lied about it. If they are that greedy and nasty maybe they should change the name of their place from Pure Barre to raging bitches!
