Jenn Conner Photography - My Engagement

I booked with Jenn after she posted a winter wonderland scene. It was beautiful, white fluffy snow…read morein a very wooded forest. I was told my fee would include props and snow as well as access to several other scenes at a private venue (See attached images) upon arrival to the venue, it became clear I was not going to get the images advertised. she later admitted they were not even her pictures that she posted!!! I feel 100% scammed. I was able to get a small refund but still ended up paying $300 for 5 pictures!!! Such a negative experience during such a special time in my life. The dress rental experience was odd. On one of her ads she has dress rental listed at $5-$15 (screen shot attached) but I was then charged $25. At one time I was told she would bring options to my house, but that day had come and gone. So I was than instructed to come to her house to try them on. The room is very small, the dresses are crammed into a single rack, and cats did come into the room as well. Once you get home you will need to iron/steam and possibly get it cleaned!! Several of the dresses were dirty on the bottom, proving they weren't cleaned after shoots. To top it off, there is no mirror in this "dressing room". I asked for a place to see what I was trying on and was given a small mirror to place on the floor (see attached image). This was the only thing I had to go off of to know how I looked. No contracts were ever exchanged and all communication was done through Facebook marketplace. Promises were made and never delivered. I was told very clearly "snow". Based on the picture she posted, I was expecting a snow machine, like from a ski resort. I was provided with bags of a white polyester material (similar to bag bellow). I was instructed that I rented a venue for an hour and would have several other scenes to use. I paid $100 for this option. I was promised the snow covered winter wonderland and a "very long driveway, barns, garden house, swing, etc." NONE of these were used or even offered the day of shooting!!!! I was charged for an hour of shooting and 15 edited images. I did arrive 15 minutes late, which is on me and I'm not debating that. , but she stopped shooting 15 min early. She literally shot for 20 minutes. That was it!! I was told because I was 15 minutes late, that I missed my window of opportunity for lighting and use of other scenes. She brought no light boxes or reflective screens to aid with her lighting. I was also told the venue had a strict hour limit, even though there was literally no one else there to enforce this or have use of the scenes. I feel it's important to note my tardiness was due to issues with the dress, which was rented from her!! As this was the first time I was able to see it in a full length mirror!! The length was very short and my boobs were almost completely exposed, which was not visible on the mirror she provided. I needed to figure out different shoe options and a solution for the exposed breast. Upon leaving the shoot I felt very pressured to purchase additional packages. I politely came up with excuse after excuse to decline, as I wasn't happy with my experience at this point. I asked for specific examples of work for each package and noticed everything she showed me was UP CHARGES on top of packages she sent quotes for. Including themes and posed newborn photos. 11 days later I was given a link with 51 pictures and instructed to select 15 to be further edited. There was no way 15 images were salvageable. Several images had our eyes closed, unflattering angles, and just awkward poses. 5 were usable!! receiving my "edited" final product was an even bigger disappointment. As she assured me she would be able to edit out the dead leaves in the background. Nothing was edited!! When I requested a refund I was given a sob story about taking money from her family. The story later unraveled to her being emotionally unstable due to pregnancy. Very unprofessional for the price. Do yourself a favor and spend your money on a reputable photographer
