Attended for 4 years and sadly it turned into a mega Church. Used to love it but it became too big…read morethat it started forgetting the people. Pastor Jimmy is a great speaker but when your not listening to him speak everything else falls through the cracks. The church has grown too much that no one can truly feel connected. It grew faster than they could keep up with and the people and especially the youth suffered. Used to love it but my family needed more connection and after 4 years of trying we still didn't find our family there. We have moved on to another Church and found it.

Recently moved to Columbia from TX and finding a church was…read morea top priority. We found out about this church online and decided to visit this last Sunday. Upon arrival the greeters were so sweet, and then worship + sermon were great! The Pastor delivered the message smoothly and kept everyone engaged- which we really enjoyed. After it was over my husband and I met some of the church members, which were all so nice and welcoming. They also gave us a $5 Starbucks GF, which was so nice and greatly appreciated. My husband and I will visit again soon and hopefully make this our new home church. :)

We attended for the first time today. The service was good but it was not done by either of the…read morepastors. Loved the praise and worship. The welcome person was very kind and well, welcoming. We are trying to find our home church where we can raise our family and grow in our walk with Jesus and God but we did not feel very welcomed overall. We were not introduced to any of the pastors and in all we only spoke to one person. We thought it would be a bit different. Me, being retired Air Force, and my wife, growing up on Army bases in her youth, have attended churches on many military installations and are used to the camaraderie and welcoming demeanor of the people who attend. My wife and I have also attended Korean-American churches where everyone wants to meet you and the pastors are always the first to greet you and assist you. The military churches are quite transient though and our home church dissolved hence the search for a new permanent church. I'm sure we must've just picked an off day to go. Hopefully as we search for our new church home we will find that welcoming family. The one person we did meet and talk with was very sweet and we appreciated that.

(I just don't feel "right" judging a church service. The congregation wore anything from traditional "church attire" to blue jeans, with some even in shorts and tshirts. It was a casual atmosphere. There are no hymnals, all songs are projected onto the wall near the pulpit. There didn't seem to be a choir, but there was a contemporary band to accompany the songs. Women were leading the hymns and singing portion of the service. This is not to judge the service, again, just an overview of the service. Worship is a personal experience and not everyone likes to worship the same. I like the casual dressing and atmosphere, where some people do not. It was a pleasant experience and worth a visit if you are looking for a church home.

They have an awesome website (this is where I did most of my research) so I'd highly recommend checking it out and then coming by for a Sunday service. There is a diversity of age and classes following the Sunday service for everyone. The church has a kitchen, playground, classrooms and a large beautiful sanctuary. It is a Presbyterian (ARP) church with tradition teachings and a blend of traditional and contemporary music. The Pastor and Associate Pastor provide excellent sermons.
