The fruit and vegies are in abundance, as you would expect, and they are fresh, good quality and reasonably priced. There is also fresh bread, a fridge with deli meats, a thousand kinds of cheeses, dairy products and milk. At the back there is all kinds of pasta and sauces as well as toiletries and cleaning products. The back freezers have ready made pasta, ice cream and things like frozen berries. The righ hand side wall is tin central, with any kind of food in a tin or jar you would want. I wish I could do a whole inventory but I think its safe to say that this place has pretty much everything. Special mention for the bunches of flowers at the front of store near the registers. They are always beautiful and look amazing, fantastic quality. And extremely cheap! I would recommend getting flowers here than at a florist, as they are top quality and last for ages.

I love thick shakes! The only thick shake that has ever passed my stringent thick-shake requirements so far has been McDonald's, surprisingly... and even more surprisingly, this place! I had the chocolate thick-shake, and it was awesome. I also had a spider (or ice-cream soda, as it was known back in the day), which was rather nice, too. It's been a while since I had one of those, but it was pretty standard. The staff are really, really quite friendly, even though they are not fluent in English, which always makes a dining experience just that much better.

Absolutely everything is delicious and no trip to the Blue Mountains is complete without a Glenbrook bakery drive-by. (Ask my friends, it drives them nuts.) If you're in the mood for lunch-related items, go the quiche. There are a few delish varieties to choose from and you can buy smaller ones for one belly ($3.50 each) or to share ($15). There are plenty of loaves of fresh bread to take away for a picnic too. If you're after a sweetener, I'd highly recommend the gingerbread men (they've got the texture perfect - the best crunch/chew ratio I've ever tasted!). There are also huge wedges of caramel slice (they could be shared between about three or four people), packets of cookies, coconut slice and chocolate brownies. It's a cute little shop with a few tables and chairs outside, or if you're visiting on a weekend, take your treats with you as your browse the markets across the road. Perfection.
