The cashier was friendly, asked questions, and efficiently gave me change with a smile on her face. Parking is relatively easy to find and I ended up getting a better variety of coffee at Woolworths than at Coles. Overall, this was a good stop and the bag I paid 15 cents for was useful for reusing for other items I have for the trip back to the States.

The prices seemed pretty reasonable for the area, so we also stocked up on a handful of Tim Tams for our friends and family back home. We also came back multiple times to pick up other necessities for the family. The Cole's Supermarkets seemed to be well spread over the various cities we visited, which made it very convenient for us to pick up healthy snacks and drinks along the way. We will definitely be back the next time we are visiting Australia.

I went to Coles one day and saw that they had found my Tim Tams along with many other lost items along every shelf in the store. Needless to say, I took the Tim Tams along with other items that I remembered loosing and walked out. On the way out someone yelled, "YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THAT!" and I laughed to myself knowing that some people hadn't been enlighten my Coles and had to BUY they're food. Thank Coles

I collected an online order placed with the Surfers Paradise store. A member of staff at the store…read moreactually thought it was acceptable to put an unsealed packet of lamb loin chops wrapped in plastic wrap into my order for collection by me. Purchasing online, even purchasing in-store, involves my trust in the standards of their staff with food management. There must be something seriously wrong with the staff or their training that someone thought it was acceptable for unsealed meat to go out in an order, and did that person think a customer would accept that, or did that person just not care or is the store just badly managed, and how did it get delivered that way without anyone else noticing? A refund will not fix my trust in that store, and I shall shop elsewhere in future. Just want to warn others so they don't experience the same from Coles Surfers Paradise.

All pretty, across a whole shopping centre's width and meaning some serious business in the produce aisles and not to mention meat and poultry too. Now what a lot of people know about the IGA, is that it is a supermarket. This one is a 'supa' market and it stocks all the regular stuff. But what they don't know is that what this IGA does that differentiates it from its competition are the deli platters. I love these platters, there's the 'Cheese Nibbles Platter' perfect for parties, the 'Cold Meat Salad Platter' and my personal favourite platters the 'Dip 'N' Nibble' and the 'Antipasto Platter' which have saved my Yelping ass many a time for functions I've organised and food bailing out last minute. They are prepared and the people at the functions don't even know they were IGA ones... very nice. Very nice indeed! At a fraction of the price you would pay some upmarket gourmet store to do... i'm a big fan. Note: You do have to ring them up and order your particular platter beforehand, just so you don't have to wait ages if they are busy, and you don't get 'the look' if you turn up letting them know 'it's an emergency okay'. No sympathy at all. Well, there is a little from the staff who feel like being friendly, but really... come on. You can't expect Doreen to prepare a platter which will feed up to 14 people in 5 seconds. Can you?

I'd go out on a limb and say the owners of this store are definitely of European origin. I say this as the deli section is awesome!! There were heaps of tasty gourmet dip brands I hadn't seen before, and a very wide range of meats and cheeses. The bakery was also pretty good, and the fresh fruit and veg was very fresh. The range of normal grocery items was a little smaller than a big supermarket, but do you really need all that choice anyway when you have access to all that hard to find deli goodness?

There deli isn't too fantastic but it definately does the trick. The Staff all seem to be generally nice and give good service. Recently the store has turned all of the express checkouts into self service ones. I like this as i used to be a checkout chick and know how to scan my groceries but there are some people that should not be allowed to scan there own goods. Sometimes they do seem a little under staffed but overall its a good place to go pick up a few items or do your entire grocery shop!
