On my wish list of things to see on my heritage travel trip to Scotland in July of 2019 was seeing bagpipers play music. Even more magical would be if I did not have to attend a music festival, concert, or the like to see the musicians play. On my first night in Scotland for the trip (Friday 5 July 2019), I found a pair of bagpipers out front of the Woollen Mill donning full kilt-wear and playing their instruments. The music wafted out across the Royal Mile, setting a very Scotland tone to my evening. After picking up dinner from The Baked Potato Shop around the corner I stood and watched the bagpipers play.
