I live in US and strangely this is better than most US burger joints. Pictures on the wall go back long way including twin towers in New York. 30 years ago was in competition with Dam Yankees. That has gone and this is sole contender to best burger joint in Sheffield. Now a winner. Apparently Dam Yankees second generation did not want to take it on, but Uncle Sam's passed to next generation who keep up the great work. As ever difficult parking

As a place labeled American cuisine, I was certainly expecting large helpings of meat and chips…read more What I had not counted on was the lack of quality. All of the food seemed to have emerged from a microwave. The chicken wings we ordered as a starter were not bad, but not great either. They also don't serve Coca-Cola which was mildly off putting. When our mains arrived, I was given the "Combo Platter" instead of the ribs I had ordered. The staff acted as though this was my fault. The ribs, if they can even be called that, were charred and almost inedible at bits. 3 of the wings were burnt to a crisp, as thought the microwave had sapped all their moisture. The potato skins were flavorless, and the bit of salad did not help any of this. I would certainly give this little locale a miss if I ever return to Sheffield.

For the main, I ordered a plain classic burger, and it was served with plenty of chips and coleslaw. It was fantastic. However, the tables are just a bit mucky, but it's not a major drawback. Also, the food service is quite slow, which if you're really hungry isn't much good.

Right. I'm writing this review WSS (whilst still stuffed) but it was a great take-away. Delicious, hot, quick and as cheap as that girl that walks past you smelling of horrible perfume. You know the one. Where you stop in the street and cough? Her. I do digress. We had the Chicken Satay, Egg fried rice and Chicken chow mein. It was all excellent and came with a variety of little freebies. Prawn crackers, fortune cookies and a little note thanking me for my custom (it's the little things eh?). It took about 20 minutes to arrive which I was thankful for as I hadn't eaten since 11am and was if not starving to death, at least starving to mild light-headedness. Oh, and it didn't come in a bag, it all came in a handy pop up box. Yes, no greasy, steamy hideous plastic bag for me sir! Anyway, all in all, if you want a Chinese and can't be bothered to cook it or go to one of the more prestigious establishments in our fine city...go for it here.
