The husband booked a massage and mani/pedi for myself (who has time for those anymore!?) and I am so glad he did!! My massage was with Lidia and she was simply wonderful! I told her my shoulders and upper back were bothering me (something fierce) and she made sure throughout the massage that the pressure was good and that I was comfortable. I'm pretty sure I fell asleep once or twice! My mani/pedi was nothing short of perfect! Andrea was kind, funny, and personable (and extremely skilled!). I know it was the end of her day but she took the time to make sure I had everything I needed and that I was satisfied. In no way did I feel rushed at all. Even later in the week when one of my nails messed up, I came by the spa and she fixed the one I messed up and checked the others and made them look like I had just gotten my nails done that day! She makes a very delicate and meticulous job look so easy, and that takes skill. The whole spa is quaint and relaxing. There was a small miscommunication when I first arrived so I did not really get to enjoy the "quiet area" but that was not the fault of anyone! The ladies at the front desk were running like a well-oiled machine. While I was waiting I heard one take a call from someone with a very specific request for her and some friends. It did not sound like it was going to be possible but as soon as she got off the phone she started making some calls and made it happen! That is service! If you are visiting The Woods anytime soon and are staying around Market Street/Waterway I highly recommend stopping by the Spa at the Waterway!

The eyebrow tech literally waxed, and that was all, didn't cut the hair, or pluck remaining hairs. The gel manicure was so amateurish I couldn't believe I paid $96. You start by soaking your feet in a warm water basin while your masseuse leans you back in an easy chair and massages your scalp, temples, arms, neck & shoulders. Yep- all part of the foot massage!! Then they remove the water basin and massage your lower legs, feet, and toes into heavenly bliss. A few times she went too deep for me but i simply asked for softer and she immediately adjusted. As all of this is happening you're reclining in a comfy easy chair covered by a warm blanket. When she finished with my legs & feet, she escorted me into a private room where I laid face down, fully clothed, on a massage table. She then spent another 10 minutes massaging my neck, back and calves. So relaxing! She ends with this oddly relaxing, light punching up and down my back. The entire experience was just so much more than I was expecting for a "foot massage". At check out you can pay cash or credit but prices are discounted for cash. Also, with such low service prices they have a sign recommending a greater than avg percent for tip- $10-$15 is stated avg. I happily paid $10 for the foot massage tip (assuming the higher tip is for the full body massage). That means one hour massage with tip, all in, was only $38! A great deal for sure.

They weren't very busy, and I was a little early for my appointment but they were able to take me right away. The shellac manicure was $25. They didn't do a hand and arm massage but for $25 I didn't really care. Kevin was my manicurist and I think he gave me the best shellac manicure I've ever had (and probably the most inexpensive as well). Everyone seemed really nice and the woman taking appointments on the phone talked to the caller as if she was friends with them. I think they must have a lot of regulars. They only except cash and personal checks, so come prepared.
