I popped on Yelped, searched appliance repair, and it was very obvious that I should reach out to KrisKelly first, based on the great reviews. I submitted a request-a-quote on Yelp on a Sunday afternoon, and heard back Monday morning. By Thursday, there was someone at my house and my dryer was fixed within about half an hour. The service guy even gave me some great tips on maintaining my washer, dryer and other appliances for the future. It sucks to need an appliance repaired, but when you can get the problem resolved as quickly and as pain free as possible, it's such a relief. That's exactly what happened here. I wasn't exactly sure what was wrong with the machine because it worked intermittently. I put in a request for a quote through Yelp, and Beto's Appliance Repair was one of the business who responded. Beto quoted me at $50 to come out and assess the problem, which would go towards the repair costs. After initial assessment, he determined the problem may be the lid latch, so he ordered the piece. A few days later, it came in and he returned to find out if that was the problem. It came out to be that it wasn't the lid latch, but rather the motherboard, which is not fixable. We were better off getting a new machine since ours is almost 10 years old. He ended up not charging us for his time, even though my husband offered. My reason for the high rating is that he was very responsive and did not appear to just be in the business for the money. He did not even charge us for the part that was ordered. The following week, he called to advise he had the part and soon arrived and fixed up our new stove. Kevin knows his stuff and made it look easy. I was afraid we had received a lemon.
