Tirelessly working to solve the wellness woes of your pet, Third Street has state of the art diagnostics. But Dr. Collins also has old school vet expertise -- the tried and true traditional training and diagnostics of touch and smell, "does something smell off?" "This lump does not feel right." Her team, Hilary, Zoe, Vanessa, and Abby, are also terrific supports, competent care providers, compassionate responders, and knowledgeable technicians. Honestly if I could entrust this team with MY healthcare needs, I would have better wellness care. As a life long pet parent, I trust Third Street with three cats and three dogs. This clinic is far and away, the best clinic from Portland to Missoula and, from Alaska to Washington.

Unfortunately I went home and had to deal with my dog bleeding so badly that my house looks like a murder scene. The vet said he could cut them and grabbed the clippers and a significant amount of the powder that is used in case the quick is hit. The vet then cut the nail so short that it wouldn't stop bleeding. He then went on and did the same to the next nail. At this point I asked him to stop and said I would bring my dog elsewhere. The vet was legitimately confused as to why I would ask him to stop. I said I could take him somewhere that wouldn't cut his quicks. The vet said "I can cut less nails but then they won't be short". In what world do you purposely inflict harm in cutting a dogs nails so short that you're going that deep into the quick? The vet was visibly annoyed that I would ask him to not cut them so short. He went on and cut the rest, still hitting the quick on multiple other nails. My dog is a gentle old man who doesn't whine and when the first nail was cut so badly he yelped out and tried biting my arm, which he has never done once in his 14 years. My dog was bleeding walking out of the vet and by the time we got home 40 minutes later was still bleeding. It took hours to get the bleeding to stop and now every rug and carpet is stained with blood. To top it off, the vet also tried having "the talk" with me about when to put my dog down because they don't normally "make it this ling and he's now almost 14.5". My dog still goes on hikes and acts like a puppy at times and this was completely unwarranted. Go here if you'd like but I don't recommend letting the vet touch your dog's nails.

First off, My family has been using ACC WIlsonville for close to ten years. Its been so long I…read moredon't remember. We live in S.E. Portland and have no problem making the 50 mile round trip drive to take our pets here! This is one of the many reasons why: On 12/20 (Friday) Charlie, Our 1.5 year old pug/wheaten mix started vomiting uncontrollably at 2 am. We took them to their preferred emergency vet, and he ended up having an intestinal blockage in the form of a squeaker from a stuffed toy. We picked him up at 8 am, took him to ACC, and dropped him off for fluids, meds, and observation, All was well until he got into the garbage at home on 12/22 (Sunday). Charlie vomited up what he ate, and was acting somewhat normal. On 12/23 (Monday) he was acting strange. Pacing, not wanting to eat, staring at me as if something was wrong... Because of the recent events that had taken place, I immediately called ACC. Being a nervous wreck, I answered their questions as well as I could. The receptionist told me that they had a completely full schedule being the day before Christmas Eve, but she would talk to the on duty doctor (Dr. Debbie) and see what she wanted to do. Even though they had a COMPLETELY full schedule (I was there for about 10 minutes waiting to drop Charlie off, and saw 4+ pets come and go) she told me to bring him down and they would look at him between appointments. Who else would do that!? In the end, it was just an upset tummy and a nervous owner. Charlie is back to his normal, rambunctious self. They were (and always are) kind, respectful and understanding. Everyone loves Charlie and his brother Edd, a 10 month old Black and fawn Pug. They really DO CARE about you and your pets. The doctors, vet techs, and receptionists are very kind, caring people. I will continue to go there and refer people to their services!

I have had multiple dogs receiving care here and would recommend this group without reservation…read more Currently I have 5 German Shepherds, all with different personalities. The doctors and staff treat all my dogs with kindness, caring, patience and efficiency, in spite of two with anxiety, one with aggressive behavior and one who thinks he owns the world! They treat them as if they are their own. Best care we have ever had.

We have had all 4 of our dogs there for boarding up to 10 days plus day care over the past 5 years. They come back happy and tuckered out. I used to take my dog to RDR twice a week for daycare. Until one day my fiance gets a call from RDR saying that our dog has a slight cut on his ear from a fence. They believe the vet should be able to fix him good as new. (Why does this establishment have harming facilities?) They also asked if we would like to come get our dog to take him to the vet or they can take our dog to their vet. Due to not being able to get away, she opted to have them handle the vet situation. She then calls me to inform me about the injury. We agreed once I was free, I would pick him up from the vet. I showed up to the vet to find a piece of my dog's ear missing. For a GSD, their ears are probably the most prominent feature they have. Now disfigured forever. I also notice molar impressions next to the wound. I ask the vet at Companion Pet Clinic, also in McMinnville, if he thought that the wound was really from a fence. He had no doubts a fence cause the injury. So now I fully believe I have a daycare that just lied to me, and a vet that is either an idiot or preserving his "Good Ole' Boy" relationship with RDR. Once I was able too, I took my dog to my own vet. The vet laughed out loud, when I explained the story that was told to me. I also went back to RDR, because they said they would do further investigation. Upon my return, the 20 something I assume is the manager, just sat, slouched in his chair, and had the attitude of a '70's surfer. No big deal, happens all the time, it's cool. I will say there are 3 positives from this story. - RDR paid 100% of the vet bill without me asking. - RDR refunded all my money. - I met an amazing trainer at another facility afterward. Here is my bottom line. I have been around animals my whole life. I understand things happen and sometimes dogs don't get along. But don't ever lie to me about it. Finally, maybe RDR should review the quality of people they hire.
