I had a 10 year custody and parental alienation case where I had paid another attorney 100's of thousands of dollars without any progress. Steven was recommended by a friend. When I met with Steven, he was forthright and honest about my case. He's not going to tell you what you want to hear all the time, but rather put your case into perspective based on the facts and this is what a good attorney should do so you can make the right decisions. Upon taking my case, things started to turn around. He's fantastic in court and in front of the judge in pleading his cases. He's even better in a deposition and in a trial where he is questioning witnesses to obtain information or counter items that have been claimed. In my case, he was able to prove to the court that there was a significant amount of parental alienation and misrepresentation by the mother and subsequently the courts reversed custody. I was awarded full physical and legal custody of my daughter who was 13 at the time. Additionally, he continued to work on my case for financial matters in the years following. The continued misrepresentation, hiding of assets and obstruction of due process by the mother was all laid out perfected by Steve. This resulted in the court finding the mother obstructing justice and awarding me $60,000 in fees and fines. I also believe I was misled about a stipulation I signed: I understood it would lead to 50/50 custody, but I continued to have supervised visitation. I dispute statements made in court that I had already received a trial, because I do not believe I ever received one. I also had concerns about billing and about information being treated as confidential. This process cost me years and thousands of dollars, and I left feeling unheard and without a fair opportunity to maintain a relationship with my son.
