I dont think there was much customer service here. I have been here before, a few years ago. When we were first seated we had to ask for water and had to get the waiters attention. They looked really busy. Our grill started burning black towards the middle and no one offered to change it. No one cared to check up on us , unless we asked and it felt like there was no service. the meat was okay , not the best. I have yet to try the chicken from the dinner menu but I've been here twice and I know I will be back. Great addition to Bayside!! Our family visited this restaurant recently and we liked the treatment. The meat choices were not immense but what was offered was decent. The bulgogi was great. Beef brisket was excellent. Marinated chicken and hangar steaks were very good. The waiters spent considerable time helping in cooking and keeping us at ease. All good except 2 things: when it's busy, the servers forget about you and leave your meat uncut and burnt. Also, the music is sooooo loud so be prepared. My family and I came to this place to try it out when they first opened. We weren't super impressed with the selection at this Korean all you can spot. Call me basic but I'm used to eating at KBBQ places that at least have galbi on the menu (which O2 did not). Their selection of pan chan also was quite limited - typically other Korean joints give a lot more! I kind of wish this place had more variety/options to choose from. The way this all you can eat place is set up is you select from their menu and they bring the meats out each time you place an order. Honestly, i only come here for their thin brisket its really good but everything else i dont really care for. Their bean paste soup is really good so is their egg. They have alot of options and its cheap considering its all you can eat. The only downside is that since its so busy its very hard to get the servers attentions but staff is always all nice including servers and busboys. cleanliness lacks a little bit. Ive been here 15+ times and i always get a grimey feeling from the tables. Its probably since the grease flies everywhere from the meats but yea the tables nd bowls always feel a little greasy. This is a great kbbq place! For $26.95/person, it's worth it for an ayce place. The staff is friendly and the wait on a Saturday at 7pm wasn't long for a party of 4 on a weekend. I love their rice cakes - it's so squishy and soft. The waiters are also quick to replace the side dishes that are offered on the table: I didn't even ask for another dish of radishes, but the waiter heard me complaining that we were out and he gave me a WHOLE BOWL. Their meats are great and well marinated - didn't need a lot of sauces or salt. Definitely go with friends because it's a fun and great way to eat dinner. For the price range, O2 Korean BBQ is definitely one of the better korean bbq places I have gone to. There is street parking nearby and is easily accessible via public transportation. I highly recommend booking a reservation through the phone if you are bringing a large party. They have a good selection of meats to choose from including pork belly, some steak cuts, chicken, etc... so overall, you get what you would expect from a decent AYCE KBBQ. There is a 2 hour time limit to eat and the only thing that I have to mention is that service is a little slow because of how busy the place gets sometimes and sometimes they forget the items you order because each item is brought up and cooked for you one at a time. This negative is only minimal and I still highly recommend anyone come here for lunch or for dinner. read more

Absolutely delicious. All of it. From the assortment of pickled vegetables waiting for you at the table to the beef to the chicken to the pork, all of it mouth-watering and satisfying. Our waiter was attentive, taking great care with checking our food on the grilltop and making sure we had everything we wanted. My favorites: the marinated chicken and the pork belly. Spectacular. We were there on a Friday night, on the early side, and the shorter seating time (100 minutes rather than 120 on weeknights) was more than enough. I imagine if we were with a large party we might have needed more time, but this was plenty and we absolutely ate to our heart's content. Why not 5 stars? It is really noisy, even in the back room where we were seated. Other than that, we're looking forward to a return visit, probably for lunch. read more

For about $35 per person after tip and tax, it's average. They waiters cook the food for you and you can just eat it off the grill. They have a decent variety of selection on meat. They have spicy marinates chicken to beef bulgogi to pork belly. My only complaint is their service. i came here in a Wednesday night with my friends. We were seated rather quickly. We got there around 9pm. The store wasn't super packed so I'm not sure why service was so slow and one of the waiters we're catching an attitude. I noticed towards the end of the night, a couple tried to come in around 11 but they were stopped at the door and they ended up not coming in. Not sure why but if the restaurant closes at 12, shouldn't they allow customers to come in until then? Would I come back? Probably not because of their slow service. read more

Spent a birthday weekend in the area and decided to come here for a birthday dinner. The owners were super friendly and willing to accommodate for large parties, and the overall atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. Accompanied by amazing waiters and energetic staff, you just feel amazing being there before you even get your food. The pork belly was by far my favorite, packed with flavor and had just the right amount of fat on it that just makes you want to come back for more. The portions were generous and everyone left feeling full and satisfied. People say you get what you pay for, and we definitely got more than what we paid for. First time trying O2. However, I will not be returning. First Impression: Two friends arrived a bit earlier to put down our name for a party of 7. The waiter who calls out the names for tables bluntly said it would be an hour wait, without even greeting us. Food: Mediocre. However, for the price that you are paying, it's not too terrible and I can't complain. I would stick to the thin brisket and pork belly if you do visit. Customer Service: HERE is where the stars dropped to a 1. Mind you, there's a 100min limit and if you stay longer, you get a surcharge (that's completely fine because they mention it in fine print). Mentioned before was the rude waiter who didn't even greet us. It was a party of 7 and we were also celebrating a birthday. When we finished, we asked for the check and asked for the cake to be brought out as well. USUALLY when I am celebrating someone's birthday at a restaurant, they bring out the cake with the cake OUT from the box and kind of has everything set up. Instead, one of the waiters brought it out, cake still in the bag and everything and plops it on THE FLOOR. Doesn't even place it on the table, he just set it on the floor and left. When we got our check, the waiter that I mentioned earlier comes back and starts complaining that we overstayed and that he didn't charge us but he's giving us fair warning. NONE of the waiters gave us a warning on how long we've been staying. I wish the waiters could have told us "hey guys, you guys are almost at your 100min max" or "you guys will be getting charged if you guys stay past xxxx" Instead, we were approached very disrespectfully by telling us off. The service in this restaurant was trash. We were basically ignored for most of our stay with the exception of one young man who commented on my husbands Capsule Corp shirt (shout out to him, because he seemed to try and pick up the broken pieces from our first waitress who we felt like she didn't even want to serve us, she was being extremely attentive to the guests behind our table though) It's very unfortunate because the food was actually pretty decent, but we just felt so weird being there. We ordered pork belly, which they placed on the grill for us, but provided no tongs. So on top of being ignored, we sat there watching our pork burn and I had to ask for tongs to turn it ourselves because we couldn't wait any longer. Unfortunately the pork became pretty much inedible by the time we were able to flip it ourselves. Our grill wasn't changed at all, meanwhile we sat there with a blackened grill burning the remnants of our food converting it into char. Some our food like the house salad, a soup, and spicy rice cake didn't come until after we ate all of our meat. Not to mention, our rice bowls and salad were forgotten. When it came out, we didn't get any extra bowls to eat our salad with. When we asked her for extra bowls, she looked so surprised that we asked her and how dare she have to go get bowls for our table. I'm not sure what was up with our waitress, but we felt totally bad watching the table next to us (who came in pretty much at the same time we did) get served WAY better than us. read more

Went here last night with my girlfriend and man it did not disappoint! Everything about this place was great from the food to the service! We had a reservation at 730 and were seated once we came in. Proper precautions were taken and we felt safe the whole time. This place was so high on my to do list once indoor dining resumed in NYC. My favorite is always the brisket and the spicy pork bulgogi was so good and I'm not the type that likes pork. I'd stay away from the pork skin given it's really strange texture. Just stopped by for Korean BBQ on Saturday lunch. My friend I had Ashley as our server. She was very professional, friendly and covered all the bases of their meat and condiments. Price was ALYCE at their $27 per person which was very reasonable. She brought out one of everything. Hangar steak had too many tendons running through. Everything else was delicious. The best were the marinated pork and beef. So go with those first. The marinated pork was sooooo good and flavorful that I thought it was beef. It was sooooo tender and sweet and I'm drooling thinking about it. Also the thick pork belly was OUTSTANDING. The place is setup comfortably with plenty of elbow space. All tables setup for 4 or 6. You dont have to whisper because no one is sitting ontop of each other. This new Korean BBQ local is a HIT! Don't miss it. read more

The options aren't that impressive and most of the meats don't taste that great and the servings are small and ordering them every time makes it annoying. The one item that does come in a larger serving is the pork belly but the flavor leans toward the bland side and it's too much to handle so that's one item that I recommend they cut down portions on. Also I don't recommend getting the puffed rice cakes since it also lacks flavor and feels more like eating an unseasoned pretzel bite. Lastly, the atmosphere and attitude of the servers was incredibly lacking as they made it very clear that they didn't want to be working. read more
