Tucked away in the serene suburbs of Cambridge, near the University Library and the Sidgwick site, Wolfson is a part of the Cambridge college system, and the school caters to mature graduate students.
The College officially became Wolfson College in 1966, when it was renamed to honor Sir Isaac Wolfson, who contributed toward the College's foundation, but disappointingly, was NOT the son of an actual wolf. Go to Rome if you're looking for that one.
Wolfson's has a reputation as being the most cosmopolitan college in Cambridge, but I am not sure it is well deserved. As another reviewer noted, the architecture pales in comparison to other campus buildings.
I attended only briefly as a visiting scholar, but I did enjoy my stay. The college is not so close to town, so I recommend investing in a bike if you intended to be there for a lengthy stay. read more
