I thought I was just ordering a basic size of eggs, meat, taters and toast... it came with 3 eggs, 3 large sausage patties and massive pile of potatoes with onion (optional) and a big plate of toast. Sooooo delicious and quick, I just felt bad that I couldn't eat that much nor could I take it with me. As the server said (who was particularly sweet and talkative, btw) Wolfgang's doesn't do anything small! I haven't been here in at least 20 years, so this was a nice treat to come back (every other time there has been a wait out the door) and reminisce. So I'm not really a breakfast girl but after reading all the reviews we had to give this a try. Be prepared for a longer wait, although they take your number and text you when your table is ready so you can go walk around while you wait. It's casual/diner style here, no fuss. Service staff was knowledgeable and very attentive. They have basic breakfast food but also a lot of new, interesting takes on breakfast. There is always a wait, and it's so clear why that is- the coffee, the food, the service, and the portion sizes are all *chef's kiss. I dream about the Cafe Wolfgang (half hot chocolate, half hazelnut coffee, topped with whipped cream). ALOHA OMELET FOR THE WIN! You wouldn't think that ham and pineapple (!) and onions and cheddar cheese and cream cheese would make for happy bedfellows inside a scrambled egg sleeping bag, but I'm telling you they get along better than Bloodhound Gang's mammals "on the Discovery Channel." What a pleasant breakfast experience. I've eaten out for breakfast each of the last four weeks, and Wolfgang's finally delivered the brunch love I needed. I adored this omelet. Eggs were fluffy and light, and this baby was packed full of the goods. And when it comes to brekkie I can never decide between savory or sweet, so I get both. I added a side of their buttermilk pancakes. Again, these filled the void left by the other breakfast places. Fluffy and light and served with real warm maple syrup. See the pics below. Even the toddler at the table across from me was inhaling his; I knew the pancakes had to be good. Kiki was our server and she hit a home run. Always kept the water and coffee containers full, and she even supplied a cup for some Joe to go. We also visited on a busy sunny Saturday, so we got to see them at their slamming best. Wait was about 35 minutes, but we killed that with a brunch cocktail a few doors down at The Local Epicurean (PRO TIP). If there is anything that could have sweetened the deal, it would have been for Wolfgang's to include a small portion of their delicious-looking (I didn't get the taste any) home fried potatoes with the omelet. They don't come standard. In fact, Wolfgang's could ditch one slice of the toast (you get two) in favor of some spuds. Otherwise, I gots no gripes. The site is large and ramshackle as Wealthy gentrifies, the coffee served in mismatched mugs and brewed in huge Bunn coffee machines- I didn't hear the hissing gurgle of esperesso; just strong coffee like granddad took before putting on his plaid wool winter coat and galoshes. The menu belies its interesting history as a blue collar joint, listing nine species of eggs benedict, six different skillets, including vegetarian, four waffle options and five French toasts. Not to mention hash browns. I've never seem them like this- I think they are smashed fried tater tots, and they are as crunchilicous as they are clever. Doesn't look like much when you walk past, however walking in, you instantly feel at home. Small town diner feel with delicious eats. No reservation is required and there is ample street parking. Despite being a Wednesday, business was steady. For starters, my friend and I got the 1/2 and 1/2 coffee, which is quite amazing. We had an amazing breakfast this morning! We found Wolfgang's through Yelp and are so happy we did. My son had a yummy Hot Chocolate overflowing with whipped cream and the Blueberry pancakes. He enjoyed the pancakes but, said they weren't anything special. I was a little disappointed he chose the Blueberry pancakes because they had such a huge selection of unique pancakes. My husband had Hazelnut Coffee and the San Chez Frittata. The frittata came out looking like a piece of art. His clean plate when we left definitely reflected how delicious he said it was. I'm a sucker for Benedicts and Corn Beef Hash said the Hash Benedicts was a perfect choice for me. They offer it in a whole or half portion; I chose the whole and it was enormous- 3 poached eggs not two and they were perfectly poached. The Hollandaise came on the side and it was a generous portion which was perfect for me because I love well prepared Hollandaise. It was definitely a splurge meal but, well worth it! There's nothing bad about WOLFGANG's except maybe the time it takes to get a table. It's so darned good that the place is constantly busy! The food is great! There's a hearty meal coming when you order, the coffee is great (which is unusual given some of the swill that passes for coffee in the US) as the beans are locally-sourced. I regularly take a couple pounds home. My wife is a big fan of their take on Eggs Benedict; I'm fond of the skillets, and I've had their 'standard' breakfasts as well. Nothing disappoints! This breakfast joint is super inexpensive yet you get A LOT of food. My friend and I ordered the same thing which was the J.B Combo along with the Café Wolfgang (made with 1/2 hazelnut coffee and 1/2 hot chocolate, topped with thick and creamy whipped cream. Um yes)! Look no further for a brunch/breakfast place. It feels like fine dining, but in a much more comfortable and affordable way. The food was phenomenal and very well thought out. Not only is it delicious, but the presentation is so well done. If you go, you 100% have to get the Wolfgang Coffee (half hot chocolate, half hazelnut coffee). I'm not even a whipped cream person but the whipped cream they use must be a secret recipe because it tasted more like custard. If you're looking for something suuuuper sweet go with one of the french toast options; if you're more of a savory breakfast guy then my recommendation would be the eggs benedict The service was 10/10 very attentive and nice. I didn't end up finishing my sausage and our waitress made sure to ask me if everything was okay with it.
