Our train to Wien was not for an hour so I was looking to kill the time so I went into Tabak Egger. Much to my pleasant surprise they have a fairly large, glass walled walk in humidor that feels very well maintained.
Inside the humidor is a great selection of both Habanos and non-Cuban (including Davidoff lines) cigars. The pleasant young man that is helping me says that the owner of the shop is an avid cigar smoker. This was evident after looking at his well thought out selection. I very happily walked out of the shop with a handful of Ramon Allones Specially Selected (out of a 50 count SLB), a few Trinidad Esmeralda's and a couple Coloniales. On this trip I have visited 28 tobacconists in 10 countries and Tabak Egger had the third best selection of larger size Habanos. During the pandemic it has been exceptionally difficult to obtain any Habanos robusto size or larger however Egger had them.
If you are looking for a quality tobacconist in Salzburg I highly recommend visiting Tabak Egger in the hauptbahnhof. Very nice store with excellent cigar selection and great customer service!
