Upon reading the other reviews and what they posted about their bad experience I have to say that has not been the case for us. My son has been attending here since December and we have been very happy with his training and Master Daniel. The class is full of students and everyone works hard during training and all the kids are well behaved. My son is more shy and keeps to himself but his team mates and Master Daniel make him feel at ease. He loves going. Yes it's a contract and billed monthly and we are okay with that. The price is great for us. I would recommend checking out the class yourself and seeing if you like it for your child then going based off old reviews. I don't know what happened in the past but it everything was very straightforward when it came to the contract. read more

I'm using this platform to advise all parents my experience . Whit this school . My son with Autism - 13 years old . This March 14/2024 my son was humiliated, embarrassed, frustrated, in front of his Taekwondo classmates. by the instructor (DANIEL) who is also the owner of WOLF TAEWANDO DOJANG at the address 14326 Ramona blv, Balwing Park, C. A. He has attended this school for almost 2 years this March 24, he would pass the exam to be a green belt, Previously, my son was in this same academy at the age of 4 for a period of 6 months one on one with the same instructor for 30 minutes ,which he left to have more therapies. But this past March 14, the Master (Daniel) did not let Juan enter his class and kept him waiting outside the classroom carrying his bag and barefoot and told him that ugly children were not allowed in there. Three other classmates laughed at what the master said. Even though I didn't know why this was happening, I approached him to give him his bottle of water that he had forgotten in the car. Then the master , Daniel, continued making fun of him, telling him, poor thing, he forgot his water in a very mocking tone and continued saying, "said Thank you to your mami." something that caused more fun to the children who were there. I realized that my son was already very upset, I intervened and in English I told the teacher Daniel that if it was necessary to avoid that tone of voice and expose my son, he would He acted like he didn't understand me and I told him in Spanish the same thing about why I embarrassed him . He told me that if I don't like his rules, I should cross the street and there was another school. To which I answered that he was right, but I didn't want to argue because there were more children in front and the class was commissary, when the class end I went to speak to the secretary she was very embarrassed about what happened whit master Daniel ( calling my son ugly and they don't take ugly kids in he's school.) but he didn't care. He was more angry when I was talking to her and he came to ask if there is any problem ? She answers I was there to quit my son from he's school. He was very loud and din't show respect to us. Plus he din't respect my kid was present .This day , me and my son meet a very bad person who doesn't care about feelings and respect He broken my son and teach kid s Bowling. Please consider my experience before you sign a contract whit this school. . Because you never know when these people change. And see the kids as an income ,not as a person . My understanding this is not the first time he call ugly to my son . He hold. he"s yellow belt for more than a week for discipline, my question is how is going to discipline him ? I don't appreciate that Roxane , the wife (Secretary) lied in the beginning by telling me that it was $90 cash monthly! No contracts, no commitment, no need to pay with your card or visa, she told in the beginning that it was cash payment only, I told her perfect im a person that I rather pay cash instead of using my card, besides money is money, Right? Well guess what? Right after my second payment of $90 cash and a quick chat with Daniel Wolf " The Master", she told me that she won't be longer accepting cash payment, that now it would be automated payment with my Visa card , I told her hold on? You told me in the beginning that cash only payments will be ok, and now that my daughter is stuck and love this karate school, it will be hard to take her somewhere else, Roxane she won't be accepting cash payment anymore? She even told me that she need the payment only with card? She say " it doesn't work like that " I told her that I will prefer to pay cash and she look at me in another words "take it or leave it " so in another words they want to secure the money by charging you with card payment! I'm pretty sure there's something behind if you decide to cancel the membership! I didn't feel confortable and I decided to take my business and my daughter to another School! This is the worst place ever! The master and his wife the receptionist have no manners and are very rude and disrespectful. The first time here they acted nice they talked about teaching my nephew respect and discipline come to find out they have no manners or respect and the master is very rude and confrontational he thought I would be intimidated by his size and the fact I'm a woman ( no sorry you don't talk to people like that!) My daughter loved this place. She has gotten very attentive to when it comes to her classes and when she has them. This place is very good. The Master is dedicated and shows respect . I've seen bad reviews on this place but I have nothing but good things to say. Biggest mistake ive done, is put my son in this place! T he "master" is so rude i could not belive it my sister walked across the class after the class was over and him and his wife in the front desk went of on her...to make things worse infront of all the little kids my son was scared and wanted to cry...when i first took my son they were so nice but after i handed her the money it was almost instantly her attitude changed for the worst! The said they will teach my son respect and how to be patient but really how can you teach someone else something that your lacking..you can tell the " master" has a bad temper and his wife also this place was a disappointment and i am never recommending it to anyone..im calling the tae kwon do. This was one of the worst and dissapointing experience ever. I have never dealt with rude and very demanding people. We enrolled both of our kids back middle of may beg of June 2017 around there. We were looking for a place for our children to develope people skills and make new friends. We attended our mater parent meeting to go over our kids goals and needs . I emphasized the fact that my son had ADHD and was in desperate need of help with his self esteem . The master took little interest in my concern. While the weeks past I noticed the master had favoritism on the kids that seemed to do a good job and left the other kids with very little attention from him. I would notice how my little girl would be praised with "high fives" and nonetheless my son would always be picked last or barely any times for the activities and instead be constantly put on "time outs" for more than 10 'minutes each time. Other kids would only get 1-5 minutes. The master would constantly say my son was "lazy" and didn't want to do anything. On the contrary in the parent room I would see otherwise on the tv screen video taping our children during lesson. That the master was always discriminating my son and letting me know he didn't want to do anything when clearly I would see otherwise.The master and his assistant Roxanne are extremely demanding on the parents to buy all the equipment ASAP in order for them to continue to assist the classes. I would never recommend this facility but instead advise parents to first research before placing their kids in any non school related activities. Please don't enroll your kids at WOLF TAE KWON DO OF BALDWIN PARK. I've observed the Morgan Park class it's cheaper and non discriminating . read more

We have three children that go to this dojo, and our kids are doing great...ever since they started coming here, their grades have come up, their self esteem has built up and they have become more disciplined... I have a son with ADHD and he has picked up skills in focusing and calming himself down....he is actually reading now, because he can take the time to focus...I have a daughter who has anger issues and is learning how to channel them into more productive and positive things now, instead of just hitting someone or crying.... my other daughter is building confidence in herself and is learning to become a positive roll model..... and when it comes to the money side of things, Master and his wife Roxi have always worked with us!!!! May it come to equipment, exams, tournaments..... whatever it may be, they have always worked with us! We have always been treated with respect and the upmost courtesy and I definitely reccomend this place to everyone! read more

My son has been attending Wolf for about 3 months now and he absolutely enjoys his time with Master Daniel and the team. We started with the 1st month trial and we met with Master Daniel before we even got started. He explained how the Wolf program worked and what we should expect during the journey. Once started, we immediately saw how the Master worked with our son and the other students. The program is organized and best fit if your child has a true desire of learn the art. We've seen the Master work with different types of students and he is compassionate, appropriately stern (our son needs this) and makes it fun for the students. He holds his students to a high standard of conduct and performance (which is important to us) and all the kids really seem to be enjoying themselves in the class. They have TVs streaming the studio view in the back waiting room so you can see how your child is participating in the class without you influencing their vibe. Or you can post up in the front of the studio to watch from the glass windows. Either way, there's available seating in both locations. The studio will hold team building events like movie night which is a great way to have the kids connect and get parents night off! Overall, we are enjoying being part of the Wolf team and we look forward to watching our son grow with this group. read more

I can't say I've been to this dojang, but I have issues with the guy running this place. I don't know him or even talked with him, but the actions he presented against my daughter was unacceptable as an adult, a teacher and lastly, a master of taekwando. At a tournament he was involved in, apparently he was in charge of pairing competitors when he called my daughter "too big" to compete against anyone. Competing as a yellow black stripe he told her he was going to put her against a black belt. right after they decided to declare "full contact", of course she started to cry. I could not believe a grown man, head of a school, could treat anyone like that. No respect, no compassion, no empathy, no integrity. Black belt or not, he doesn't have the right to ridicule anyone, especially children. Isn't he supposed to build them up? Teach them confidence, build their self esteem? Don't sign their contract!! They debit monthly or u get sent to collections if u pull kids out-no matter the reason: medical, school related, etc. As of this Halloween weekend's exam, I no longer support or believe in this tkd studio, read on. Years ago my girls and I joined as an extra curricular activity for 7 years. My girls had private school finals to prepare for so I told master I could only take them to class Mon,Wed,Fri, he said no, to take them 6 days a week to prepare them for their next belt exam, I again said no, school finals were priority, he then said that he would not allow them to test for their belt then, I finally told him I would rather remove them from class because it's an activity not priority over private education. As soon as I did, I was sent to collections and he continued debits from my account until his stupid contract was satisfied, he also kept their past medals and final belts. Years later my oldest made peace with the owner master and started as a student assistant, only to be worked to death for practically minimum wage pay ($2 hr) and no breaks! She gave all of her evenings and weekends to the kids and school because she really loves working for the kids when all of the sudden She's "let go". She was replaced by a intermediate brown belt student but parents and students deserve a qualified black belt person for the money they pay!! My daughter helped start the brand new class in El Monte and has truly bonded with the students and parents and supposedly the owner is telling everyone she just quit. After all these years I truly thought this studio had improved and now focused on honesty and integrity and worked to better the students and still make it affordable for the hard working parents but I realize that the owner will let go of really dedicated employees and close parent and student relationships for MONEY!!! Money over everything should be his mission statement!!! Shame on them! I'm happy my daughter no longer works there and hope parents wake up. Things will go downhill thanks to master and his pushy office assistant now "wife". The things people do for money. The things money makes them do! read more

This place is owned and ran by CROOKS. If I could give NO STARS I would!! The two owners, Daniel & Roxy, want your money and don't teach clients the proper universal Tae Kwon Do techniques that are recognized in Korea. The so called Master of the place, Daniel, can't even do a basic jump front kick if his life depended on it. Talk about Stale and Not Conditioned!! It's ironic how this place can be considered a location of fitness and discipline when the owners sell unhealthy and fatty snacks, such as chips and candy to their clients. Promoting health and wellness should be their forte. Advice: Stay away from this place, and spend your money at a TKD studio that offers an effective and universally recognized program that highlights proper form, technique, discipline and wellness. These people are rude and don't CARE about their clients' well-being. This place is a Joke and it's crazy that their doors are still open. read more
