This marketplace had so many local vendors. Fresh fruits and veggies. Coffee. Baked goods. Coffee. Honey. Sandwiches. Pastries. Beautiful flowers. And of course, pretzels. A nice way to start and end our day in Freiburg.

A fantastic street market that surrounds the Freiburger Münster church and offers everything from…read moresausages and cheese to flowers and neuer süsser, a carbonated wine that tastes like a fizzy glass of grape juice. I was there around noon on a Thursday, so I don't know if the market is a daily or weekly event, but it does seem to be packed up and moved out by 3pm.

I was so happy because the weather was cold so an indoor market was a perfect solution. The market is really nice and you get a sense of the Swiss tradition and offerings. It offers many kinds of souvenirs, scarves and gloves, wine and food. Lots of it! I ate at the airport before so wasn't hungry and regretted it. The market seemed to have many interesting local foods and the desserts were to die for! I definitely recommend going if you happen to visit Zurich.
