I was a tenant with Witt Realty for over a year. I've had many experiences as a college-aged renter from different rental companies all over Montana. This company was the most personable and communicative rental agency I've ever used, for multiple reasons. #1 They don't try to scam you- they're honest and actually want to work with you. They're straight with you and tell you if there are any issues. #2 They were timely in their responses. I got my FULL deposit back less than a week after I moved out. #3 They stay out of your business, but if you need maintenance, they're ON it! I would definitely rent from them again, if I ever move back to the Bozeman area. Unlike some experiences I've had before, they're great to rent from without all the bullshit of others. read more

Ironhorse Management is not to be trusted. They kicked me out of the apartment I had been renting for over 2 and a half years simply because I complained about the unjustified rent increase and suggested they repair my overpriced run down apartment that was literally rotting. They never even responded, just mailed a 30 day notice to get out. Apparently they could terminate the rental agreement like that because the rent was month to month. I was a perfect tenant. Always paid on time, never loud, didn't ask for much that wasn't unreasonable. That didn't matter to Brian. Do not do business with this company. They are nothing like what Witt and Associates was like. read more

We just moved out after about two years in a Witt & Associates property. Staff was friendly, responsive, and helpful. Maintenance requests were handled promptly and with little inconvenience. The checkout/deposit process has been fair and straightforward. read more

Very uncommunicative and I feel we've been treated differently because we were younger tenants. Even though we were extremely clean and left zero damages. I gave a 30 day notice in an email but apparently it doesn't count because I didn't turn in an actually piece of paper. Because I was out of the state for the first 11 days of the month. Now they get to sit back make money and screw over people who are scraping to get by. read more

Very nice and helpful staff. Always quickly responded to all maintenance requests. Modest increases in rent over the two years that I rented with them, but still an affordable company to rent from. The best part was after I moved out I received my entire security deposit back and they prorated my rent because someone else moved in before the end of the month. Unlike other companies I have rented from, Witt didn't charge me for normal wear and tear (chipped paint on window sills, some nicks in the walls, etc.) that occurred in the apartment. read more

This company has changed it's name to Ironhorse Property Management. You will not find this new name listed on any of their licenses nor on the State, County or national Realtors professional sites. Beware. This office has behaved in a manner completely contrary to their professional code of ethics. The staff are rude, and have called customers derogatory names without cause. It wasn't just a "bad day." This happened on several different days. If a property management business is going to operate within blocks of a University campus, it seems predictable that they would be doing business with tenants who are University students. These are young, inexperienced tenants. They are learning as they go and many are not wealthy. This business is heartless, and unethical. These are vulnerable young people. I watched them evict a young student who had done nothing wrong. The student appeared to be trying to follow all of their rules and process. One week into the school semester they made a student homeless and stranded the roommate with the total cost of a unit that was to be shared. There was no process. The explanation was completely without merit nor evidence. read more

I think their service was good at times and then also poor at times so I gave them a 2/5. I received my full security deposit back from them, they were typically friendly and prompt when my roommate and I needed maintenance done, and usually easy to work with in the 13 months we spent renting from them. However the one bad experience I had was they were doing their annual cleaning-out-all-the-abandoned-bikes from the bike rack outside our apt. and I accidentally (along with a few other people) forgot to put mine inside so it got taken away. I called them thinking it would be an easy fix to just get my bike back and apologizing for my mistake, but I was met with extreme rudeness and was told that I "may not see my bike again" and that "it wouldn't have been a problem if you just would have followed directions" after which it took me about a week of calling them daily just to get an answer of WHERE my bike was (with some unnamed person who was "going through them") and finally not until I threatened calling my lawyer to get my property back did they move their butts to give it back to me. Let's just say that put a bitter taste in my mouth and we moved soon thereafter. read more

If you are looking to rent a place through Witt and Associates, DONT. There is more wrong than right. My carpet has different patches in it, they have had to come in twice to fix wiring and other things. The washing machines just ate my last quarters and turned off. Also, they are probably some of the most rude people I have ever had the displeasure of working with and pouring my hard earned money into. read more
