She recommened some really great group shots that ended up being my favorite photos of the entire event. Like most women, I've got some problem areas, and I was very upfront with Rayleigh, telling her to adjust my poses if I didn't look perfect, or to position other people around me so I looked my best. She wasn't afraid to take my advice, and worked some total photo editing magic on my less-than-perfect arms! Woo hoo! I've seen her work on other weddings and portrait sessions, and she is amazing! She recently began doing boudoir shoots (ladies: if you aren't familiar with this, look it up!) and her work is phenomonal. She'll make you look amazing. We plan to have her do a portrait session for our family in the future, and maybe she'll be able to shoot our vow renewal in several years!

I have struggled with negative body image issues my entire life. I have early childhood memories of people calling me the chubby one and to this day, I have to remind myself that these curves are a part of me and are sexy as hell. The whole experience made me feel more comfortable in my own skin. Kim, the makeup artist, really brings out your "vavoom." The makeup may look intense at first, but it really pops in the photos. And the hair is perfect to be tossed around for the sexy bed head effect. And the lashes are always so fun. So glad to have this additional professional edge. Monique was welcoming and makes you feel at home immediately. Of course, at the beginning it was a little weird trying to get into various poses, but after you laugh it off, it was all just so fun. She really knows how to pose you and how to toss your hair to make everything align for the perfect shot. I went in thinking I'd walk out with the 25-image package, but she took so many amazing photos, I couldn't narrow it down. I am so excited to see the finished products!

This was more then just a service but an entire experience mentally, physically, and emotionally. The quality of Monique's photography is the highest, most beautiful, artistic, and classy work I have ever seen and experienced. I was more then scared at the beginning, but within 5 minutes of talking to her and hair and make-up with Kim I was beginning to feel confidence I haven't in a long time. I felt so accepted and confident about my body and my physical limitations. For the first time I felt like I had no physical limitations. Monique is excellent and helping extract that inner goddess everyone has within them. She knows how to pose you and move you to take the most flattering photos. Kara is absolutely amazing! I spent a lot of time researching photographers in the Portland area…read morebecause I wanted the right "fit" between me and the photographer. I found her on Yelp, and she came with raving reviews. I went to her website first and fell in love with her work. I called her, we chatted about what I was wanting, and she quickly said let's meet over coffee, so we can discuss more and make sure we both want to work with each other. Perfect. During our meeting, it was all about me. We went through sample photos. We talked more about outfits, and what I had envisioned doing. Went over pricing (she emailed previous to our meeting). She discussed setting up a private Pinterest account, so I could show her ideas of what I wanted. I never felt rushed. I knew she was the photographer I wanted to work with. So, I picked a date. With that, came my first assignment: pick several outfits, and then we meet again to look over them, discuss, and she would provide suggestions. This way, there is no scrambling on the day of the shoot. We met again at the studio, so I could check it out and go over the outfits. She made excellent suggestions and even made suggestions on where to purchase the items in expensively. On to assignment #2. The day of the shoot: I arrived at the studio, the hair/makeup artist started working her magic, there was music playing in the background, and Kara sat and visited. We had a blast getting ready. After hair and makeup were done, the artist left, and the shoot began. Just me, Kara, and the camera. Kara made me feel so comfortable and so beautiful. She made great suggestions for poses, props, and smiles (or not). The time flew by! During the several weeks prior to the shoot, I would text Kara with questions, send her pictures for suggestions/thoughts, and she was always quick to respond. She truly worked for me the whole time. Not just the day of. The unveiling of the photos: my boyfriend and I met her at the studio for the unveiling. We sat with Kara and went through all the photos and had narrow it down. That was the hardest thing to do! We wanted them all!! I would highly recommend Kara! She is professional, meticulous about her work, and she is there to work for you.
