Run for the Hills!. This firm use to be very good Robert Winterbotham deceased, Dale Parham - deceased- Temple - not sure, but everyone with any kind of knowledge has left. Helen was the paralegal and she was awesome - gone!. Michael Smith, attorney, gone!. What you have now are lame ducks trying to pretend they have an ounce of knowledge. They do not return calls or file paperwork in a timely manner. Now it is inexperienced people wanting to give legal advice that they are not qualified to give. Further, when you ask them a questions to - their response is - I am not a lawyer or a paralegal... then why are you speaking! Horrible. My advise would be to either terminate the current staff and replace everyone with knowledgeable individuals or close the firm completely. Due to incompetent staff it took me over a year to get my BK filed and the end result is I lost $30,000 in the settlement that would not have had to be paid if it was done in a timely manner. They never acknowledged their failure or compensated me for my losses. It took over two years to get a discharge. I'm not a fan or a happy camper. Beware. read more

I filed a chapter 13 about 5 years ago with this company... most of the staff is RUDE..and I don't care how many times I call for info about my case I NEVER I repeat NEVER get a call back! Things are filed with the court last minute and they charge for EVERY little thing they do for you! Even writing a simple letter is $250!!!! My advice.. find another bk attorney, I'm sure you'd have better luck getting a return call with anyone else! read more

After running into complications I contacted Winterbotham, Parham, and Teeple and they were quick, efficient, and competent. Michael Smith is the only saving grace for this firm, however, reaching him is always hindered by gatekeepers. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM. They incorrectly processed paperwork, causing one of my creditors to not be paid. That caused an extension to our 5 year plan. They are the worst at responding to your questions but Johnny on the spot to get their fees from you. The Trustees office told me they have had many complaints. They selectively review your account looking for ways to make paper changes that result in requests to the ALJ to approve further payment for their efforts. Receptionist is friendly, but God help you if you need to deal with Helen. She is the most rude, unprofessional person I've ever met. Find another law firm. read more

I am so glad that I decided to file for bankruptcy, chapter 13, after I experienced final hardship because of cuts at work. While the entire process took about 6 years from my initial meeting to court ordered discharge, I was glad everyday to have such a body of professional representing me every step of the way.
