We came here looking to buy a car seat for our upcoming new arrival and first off it couldn't have been a better experience. We were served by Monika who was very helpful, knowledgable and really did go the extra mile in making us feel we were visiting the right place to make our purchase. She knew all about the fittings, safety regs, could relay her own experience and overall was very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. I'm not sure if she is one of the managers here but she should be if not. They stock a vast range of prams, buggies and baby related stuff - top tip: parking is around the back and you get to it from the main junction traffic lights. They'll happily come out and test-fit something in your car for you. read more

I recently popped to Winstanleys to look at their baby/toddler car seats as they are known as one of the best independent stockists of car seats and other baby paraphernalia in the Greater Manchester area. It was about a 45 minute drive so not the closest but when you're spending £400 on a car seat you need to make sure you're getting the right one and the staff at Winstanleys definitely did that. We were greeted by a really lovely, warm and friendly, shop assistant called Monika who immediately asked us if there was anything we needed help with. I had done quite a bit of research prior to the shopping trip so I had a good idea of what I wanted but she ran through the various options before pretty much confirming what I had already found out. The most important thing with buying a car seat is that it fits properly in your car and so Monika grabbed our two favourites and took them out to our car to fit. There was one she wasn't sure of so asked the opinion of her colleague who also took a look. They both then advised we speak to our car manufacturer to confirm 100% it would work and that they would also contact the car seat manufacturer. It was brilliant that they were not being pushy with the sale at all and were more concerned with the safety. True to her word, Monika gave me a call the next day once she has found out the information which corresponded with what Ford had said. Once again she was not pushy with the sale and advised how best to go about making the purchase if I wanted. With Winstanleys you can order in store, via their customer sales line or online and I opted for the latter. It was a really easy process and if you order before 2pm it's next day delivery with a text to confirm the delivery slot. All in all a fantastic process with staff who genuinely care and want to help. Highly recommend. read more

this is a fantastic nursery shop offering a great selection of prams and pushchairs, i was spoilt for choice. the staff a clearly knowledgeable of the productsa they sell and their prices are far superiour to most nursery shops i have been in(and i have been in a few) i bought a large proportion of my sons nursery goods from this shop and theyeven delivered to me. there is no car parking attatched but there are spaces just behind the store in the main car park read more

Winstanleys is on the main road in Pemerton shopping district it is a family run business and has been there for generations. I had my first bike from winstanleys about 35 years ago. The shop is a large double fronted store and is packed from top to bottom with toys, games , bikes and a nursery department. Winstanleys is a real good old fashioned toy shop, and is a toymaster outlet, whether you re looking for the latest fad toys, old favourites like lego, or traditional board games etc you will find them all in this shop. It is a magical place for a child. There is also a large cycle showroom where you can have your child properly fitted for their bike, with a great selection to choose from. The nursery department stocks a large range of prams, buggies, cots and even nursery furniture including some expensive designer ranges - there really is some beautiful baby equipment within the shop.. There is a free car park to the rear of the shop. The staff in the shop are very helpful and will take time to ensure you get exactly what you want. Very good service. read more

I find it expensive compared to other toy shops. It is good for conveinience and location. The staff are friendly and helpful but I would rather travel to larger stores which have cheaper, same quality products. read more
