So for the longest time I never went into Apple Saddlery because I thought it just sold equestrian…read moresupplies, and I don't ride horses. Then one day one of my friends told me they also sell clothes. I said "yeah, like riding breeches that make you look like you're wearing a diaper? No thank you." She said "no, like regular clothes." Being the shopper that I am, I had to check it out. My friend was right, they do have regular clothes. Well, they are more "outdoor adventure/active lifestyle" kind of clothes. Like what you would find at Sail, Mountain Equipment Co-Op and Bushtakah. They have a huge selection of Royal Robbins and they carry my favourite brand of this kind of clothing, Toad & Co. (formerly called Horny Toad - and I'm so glad they changed the name because I used to get a lot of funny looks when I asked stores if they carry Horny Toad). Anyway, prices are on par with other stores that sell this kind of clothing. They do have a clearance section at the back of the store where items are marked down and prices can be quite low. If you need to use the fitting room and staff aren't around, there's an old school bell on the wall that you ring. It's pretty cool! I can't speak about any of their equestrian supplies because I don't know anything about such things, but there's a huge selection. Staff are always friendly and nice. The parking lot is unpaved and bumpy with potholes everywhere, so be careful!

I got a travel set consisting of a fork, knife, and spoon. They are a light green and have their own little pouch. The cutlery is durable. My visit the other day was more for browsing. The trend seems to be having small appliances look retro. The prices were pretty good. I also liked the popcorn accessories and microwave poppers. I love popcorn so much that I pretty much knew what everything did. If you're into looseleaf tea infusers, you can find cool ones at this store. I was mesmerized by an EggXact Peel, which allows you to safely peel the shell off a hard-boiled egg. It amazes me what products get developed. I love this store. Within 10 minutes they identified the problem and provided me a solution that later worked. No fee requested. On April 14, I returned again without an appointment and explained further problems with my install. This time I suggested a consult fee to which they agreed. Looking up car specific fuse block information, they again identified the solution and requested I pull my car into the shop to show me the correct fuse block location for my application. Then as I watched using their supplies they did the final power supply install for the front camera. 15 minutes later all was working as the manufacturer intended. As a DIYer I like to learn by doing and in this case watching but if I did not, I wouldn't hesitate to contract them. I did not expect the additional installation using their shop supplies, so I doubled the consult fee which was still very reasonable. Thanks guys for treating a double walk-in so professionally. The man there said he'd take a quick look right away, spent 5 minutes looking into it and fixed it right there. I asked how much I owed him and he said "nothing."
