Fries, Garlic Parmesan Wings, and Hot Honey Wings
Tessa S.

I was not expecting Wingstop to be that good, but it honestly was. I was kinda disappointed that they didn't have any tenders. Instead, I got two boxes of boneless wings to share with my friends and that was a good option. I ordered the garlic parmesan and hot honey flavors, which were both super good. I would definitely come back and try more.

I was so glad when this Wingstop was added to my neighborhood (Lower East Side) a few years ago. I'm such a wing fanatic and Wingstop's wings, especially their infamous lemon pepper wings, always hit the spot for me. I always ask for my wings to be well done. I also place my order in advance online because the wait time tend to be long. The female behind the counter can be a bit more pleasant when customers walk in. She doesn't speak and she always looks like she's in a bad mood. As pricey as they are, I don't like the fact that they charge extra ($1 I believe) for dipping sauce. They have a plethora of wing flavors to choose from. I've tried many of them and I haven't been disappointed with any so far. They also pop up with limited edition flavors at random as well. My ultimate favorite from them has been, and will most likely be, their lemon pepper flavor. Forget the extra charge for blue cheese or ranch. The wings don't really need them. I also enjoy their fries. They give you a large amount (enough to share with two extra people) and they're perfectly seasoned. I recommend Wingstop to satisfy your wing craving especially if you're a wing snob like me lol.

I came here for lunch for the first time today. It is across the st from my office and is a bit cheaper than Essex Market options. The place is clean. I wasn't thrilled that I had to wait over 5 minutes to get rang up. It seems the person behind the register is also helping out in the back. The place seems to get quite a lot of delivery orders. I ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich combo. For sure not as healthy as I should be eating, but I wanted to try. I also had to wait quite some time for my meal. I came here thinking it would be a quick stop. Thankfully I wasn't too hungry. The burger was absolutely delicious. Honey mustard sauce is excellent. I am very impressed. Fries portion was huge. I would be back. Good redeemed the wait time.

New WingStop that opened on Delancey. This is the only WingStop on the lower east side. On a Tuesday night, there were not that many people. Order online and pickup at the store for real specials.

Everyone who goes on the page will probably see all the negative reviews and think this location is pretty bad but I would like to recommend that people give this place a second chance. I was part of those who saw the one star reviews and thought, "Hey, this place is probably not good, so I shouldn't try it." However, my little brother convinced me to try a set that he ordered today because he wanted to try wings that were not Popeyes and not from pizzerias that sold sus wings. He got an 8-wing bone-in combo with fries and Coke (dry rubs consisted of lemon pepper and Louisiana rub). Altogether, I believe the cost was about $16, more or less. The paper lining up the fried chicken had quite a bit of grease (slightly more than expected) so it was worrisome but I have to say the chicken was good. I also live 5 min away from this spot and it was cold today (around 30 degrees Fahrenheit); the chicken did not become cold like the others mentioned. I don't know if they were presented cold chicken or they took a long walk or were in below 20 degrees weather, but the chicken that we got today was definitely not presented cold. The chicken tasted ok. The lemon pepper had a nice zest and was not overwhelming sour or salty. The Louisiana rub was a bit salty but I'm not sure how it's supposed to taste like. The fries were not overly greasy or wet; it was strangely sweet like one of the reviewers had said. I'm not sure if they did a mixture of salt and sugar or if the potatoes were naturally sweet (and no, I know what sweet potato fries look like + taste like and they were clearly not sweet potato fries). Cheese fries (an option from another reviewer) sounds like it should be somewhat wet. Having tasted a poutine before, I know the fries were quite soaked. For people concerned with grease, usually if the fries or chicken is not sitting on the rack or away from oil for a short period of time (or if the food just came fresh out of the oil and was not rested), then, of course, the food is going to be wet/greasy. Resting would let the oil drip off the food and hopefully not let the food be overly soaked. I was not in the store itself, so I don't know their operations or viewed how they presented the food; thus, I can't comment on that. Based on my meal today, there was slight grease according to the photos but not alarmingly terrible. I come from a background of eating at Wings Over (which is not found in NYC), and I find some of the negative reviews ridiculous. For most wings places, it takes time to fry the chicken and then apply the dry or wet rub. Not all spots come with a rack with a heat lamp that will warm the chicken; I find the heat lamp options in McDonalds/Popeyes franchises. While Wings Stop is a fast food franchise, I haven't seen the other spots that I've been to (including Wings Over) have a bar with a heat lamp so people can see the warm fried chicken. Most stores make the food after the order has been placed, and frying does take time. Thus, it's reasonable to expect a 20-30 min wait time. However, it would be nice if the expected wait time is reflected in the app because my little brother had ordered on the app, expecting a 5 min wait (what the app showed), but he waited another 10 minutes. The problem of this inaccuracy is reflected in all the food apps like McDonalds (which I had waited over an hour for once ), but if Wings Stop can fix this, they can one-up other franchises. Also, this shop recently opened, and with new stores, you can't expect 100% flawless service. It will take a period of time for them to re-organize themselves after opening to better serve the customers. I would say give them the benefit of the doubt. In my opinion, the bone-in wings may appear small but that's pretty much the same in most shops like the Korean fried chicken wings spots in Koreatown or other wings-specialized stores. My main criticism is the cost. The wings are quite expensive and there was no wow factor in the foods. While wings spots are usually expensive for a smaller amount, I can get a $10 5-piece special at Popeyes, which also garners more meat. It would really depend on my mood if I want to spend more at a wings spot instead of Popeyes. TLDR: Give this spot the benefit of the doubt. Take notice of the negative reviews but don't conclude that they are entirely correct. Lemon pepper wings were quite nice and the fries were strangely sweet.

Garlic Parmasian wings and cheese fries

When they opened Wing Stop at this location I was super excited. I have visited the other locations in the city and was very pleased with the food. Today for me is support local Sunday so I went out in the freezing cold to get some wings for my supper. I ordered and sat inside for at least 25 to 30 min waiting for my order. Got home and reheated my meal. The WIngs, for what the seasoning choice was should have been flavorful but instead were bland. The fries were what they supposed to be but not enough cheese sauce was provided. I'm 1 and done. For almost 20.00 bucks for 10 pieces of wings, fries and a drink, it's a rap for me

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE -- FROM FOOD TO SERVICE, 0 STARS IF I COULD! Was so excited for this wingstop to open up, but everything was a disappointment. Placed an order in person and the cashier had such a bland attitude. Asked us what drink we wanted but there were no options on the menu so we asked and she told us the choices as if it was an inconvenience to her. Our receipt said 4:15 and we sat there waiting for a solid 30 minutes for ONE ORDER. Thank god we asked for a receipt too because she got our order wrong. We asked for original hot and garlic parmesan, it's literally 2 flavors. She messed up and chose lemon pepper on the receipt. We let her know about it and she acted like it was such a hassle to fix the order SHE got wrong. We're just sitting there waiting and waiting, no updates at all. Half an hour later our name is called. We get the order and they forget the drinks. The other cashier gave us one drink. We asked for a sprite and coke when we ordered with the original cashier and it was on the receipt. We asked if the order came with 2 drinks and the cashier word for word said "does it, I'm not sure." There are literally 10 items on the menu, and only the combos come with drinks. It's really not too hard to turn around and look at the menu and see it comes with 2 drinks. We finally get the second drink and at this point we're just so fed up, we take our food and leave. We live 5 minutes away and by the time we got home, the food was cold. Fries were abnormally greasy and for some reason kind of sweet. We had to reheat the wings in the oven. Flavor wise, original hot was not spicy enough or flavorful. Garlic park didn't taste like either flavor and was bland. Ranch sauce tasted like straight mayo. We drink the sodas and of course they also mess that up. We got 2 sprites instead of the sprite and coke we ordered. Not only that, the sprites were flat as hell which is just nasty. TRUST THE OTHER REVIEWS. THEY SUCK.

This location really needs to work on quality control. This is the 3rd time ordering this Wing Stop and every single time something is off. Probably the last time I'll order. Wings are always super dry, small, lacking sauce, cold. The fries this time were small bits and burnt. The last time we ordered, the fries were completely unseasoned. Literally have placed the same order from wing stop for years, and only this location has messed it up every single order. Personally recommend picking up your order in-person to ensure you are receiving quality food.

So when we were back in town, we decided to stop in--fully expecting to have just one drink and move on. That plan did not happen. We ended up staying a couple of hours, ordering food, and having many drinks. Bin 71 is mostly a wine bar, with a few beers mixed in, and it definitely feels like a locals spot. The bartenders knew a lot of the people coming in, which added to the friendly, laid-back vibe. It's very small, so it can get cramped, but in a cozy, everyone's-in-it-together kind of way. Food-wise, we were pleasantly surprised. I ordered the grilled cheese and my husband got the fish soup (cod, I think?). Both were delicious, but that grilled cheese was spectacular--honestly way better than expected from a wine bar. I'm not much of a wine drinker, so I won't pretend to give a detailed wine review, but everything we had was enjoyable. What really stood out was the atmosphere. We ended up chatting with other people at the bar, and the whole experience was just genuinely fun. If you're looking for good wine, surprisingly great food, and a friendly local vibe, this place is worth checking out. Maybe don't go wildly out of your way for it--but if you're in the area, absolutely stop in.

It's pretty cool that this Turntable location is fully decorated with records, record players, posters, etc. and of course, with jazz playing in the background. We ordered the Medium Drums & Wings Combo which took about 30 minutes to prepare. In the meantime, we enjoyed the Kimchi Fried Rice w Chicken which was pretty solid. It was cooked well, good balance of savory & spicy flavors from the kimchi and the sunnyside egg added more umami and creaminess. I still felt it was a bit dry and could've used like spicy mayo but that's just me. The Medium Drums & Wings Combo was perfect for sharing among 2 people. Both flavors were delicious but the hot spicy just had more depth than the soy garlic. The pieces are large and the crunch is insanely addictive. And no better way to wash it all down than with a Sapparo on draft! Great try!
