For the past several years I have raved about their Nachos, and rated them the best Nachos in Cape Coral. So imagine my surprise and disappointment to return to Cape Coral and find they have changed my favorite dish. Instead of the piled high assortment of lettuce, diced tomatoes, jalapeños, and chili on top of a bed of corn chips, with a huge scooping of sour cream to top... What they now serve is a flat layer of corn chips with a little bit of chili, a sprinkling of lettuce a few diced tomatoes and jalapeños and a drizzle of watery sour cream. I asked the waitress if this was a different person in the kitchen or if they changed the way they make the dish. Apparently they changed the dish. Big mistake. I guess they're trying to save money by reducing the portion size and what they now include. Yes it mostly the same ingredients, but in very different proportions... And the sour cream is totally different than what they used to use. The result is a very mediocre Nachos and a very poor value. They've gone from the Best Nachos to a don't order again. If you need to adjust for rising costs then raise the price, but don't change the dish. You ruined what was a special menu item... And you lost customers as a result. Too bad. read more

So let me start by saying that this review has little to do with the food but more about the experience. As a restaurant, Wingnuts looks like a nice place. They have beer (but no Guinness) and food. Place is clean, service was very good, and ample seating. So my friend Rob found this place through the SWFL Foodies Group. He heard that they had the hottest wings ever. As the self-proclaimed Hot Sauce Champion, I had to accept the challenge. I have eaten hot food/wings from all over the world. Never beaten........ until tonight. The Bleu cheese dressings has big pieces of blue cheese crumbles throughout. The ranch is house made and definitely not from a bottle. The tender meal or the wing ding meal is a good price and the side portions are large. All of the fries, tots, and onion rings are so good and cooked perfectly. The Island sauce and sweet chili are our top picks. It's a laid back place with a small bar top, high top tables, and low top tables. You can dine in or do take out. Everyone that got wings were very pleased, cook times always seams to be long for wings. my friend always gets the breaded garlic parmesan he loves them, for me it is the partly sunny it is hot teriyaki garlic but today was feeling like trying the dry rub as i have never had that type. my choose was Cajun and Caribbean Jerk both good but i was missing my partly sunny. Somethings to note: ranch, blue cheese and celery are available for an extra charge. If you just want water they won't just give you tap water you have to buy a bottle for $1.50. This place is disgusting!! Whoever have this place 5 stars surely doesn't eat good food. Got a steak and cheese. The meet was like chewing on rubber bands. The bread soggy. The only thing that was half decent was the onion rings. The kitchen looks dirty. Now when I walked in the staff was friendly... Until I noticed the two confederate flags hanging. We're in 2020 no need to have confederate flags hanging. It's offensive to a lot of people and personally made me feel uncomfortable. Been here multiple times always had great food and service. Definitely not the case and will not be back. Waitress had horrible attitude to all tables and groaning and sighing every time someone needed something or someone walked in. She stated it was her first day and it seemed a little busier than usual not really an excuse though. Food was put in wrong after having to repeat the order multiple times and then came out cold like it was straight out of the freezer. We ordered 3 different sauces for our sets of wings and they all came with the same sauce and all incorrect amounts. The cook blaming the waitress and waitress blaming the cook. When complaining to the waitress we were not eating or paying for our frozen incorrect order we waited 40 minutes for the cook informed the waitress to call the police. The review alone is off of taste. I had the buffalo wings and they were pretty good. Service was good as well. The reason for the 4 stars though is for their hottest wings. If you want something that will flat out make you want to tuck your tail and run it's this sauce. Which was needed since the wings, like other have complained, are just so DRY and chewy! NEVER AGAIN! we got a seat almost immediately and then everything went south. it took 1 hour and 20 minutes to begin receiving food. there were 4 of us and our meals came out separately. I ordered a combination meal with fries and bacon cheese and sour cream topping. we were charged a full $5.00 extra on top of the meal price and I had to send it back because they forgot the toppings. my son ordered 5 of the "viper" flavor and we were charged $5.00 extra for this as well. these were boneless wings ( chicken nuggets) $13.99 for this! prices are not listed clearly in the menu. when the time came to pay the server took our credit card and spent another 20 minutes to ring us up. Decent wings, but overpriced. A buddy and I are gradually trying to visit all the local wing restaurants, and today we visited this one. First, understand the interior is VERY casual, there are really only even two actual tables with chairs. Everything else is a high-too with a barstool. Doesn't bother me if you're just getting wings, but not some place I would go for a few hours maybe to watch a game. The wings were only ok. We tried four sauces: - Hot Buffalo: not hot enough, otherwise decent buffalo flavor. And I say that as someone who doesn't like my wings very hot. - Sesame Teriyaki: delicious! No heat at all unfortunately, but overall a thick and delicious sauce. - Sweet Bangin': again, no heat at all, kind of tasty but nothing special. - Three Amigos: was really thin and ran off the wings, tasted like a weaker version of the Sesame Teriyaki. Here's my real gripe though: their pricing. You can't get tap water, you have to pay for bottled. Want blue cheese dressing? Each little container is a dollar. Want celery? That's a dollar. And unlike every other wing place, you pay more for sauce variety. If you want 15 wings of the same sauce, it's $15. But if you want 15 wings, with three different sauces, it's $19.50. It's an ok place, and if I wanted to order a big amount of wings for a party or something I would definitely consider them, but otherwise I don't plan to go back. read more

She told me the "next time" I come I could get shredded cheese instead and offered no type of replacement. My sisters wings suffered from lack of salt and had an outrageous amount of fresh garlic on them. The texture was good but flavor was missing the mark. Yesterday we placed a rather large Togo order for a football party we were having at our house. The food was absolutely amazing!! Everything we had was excellent! The wings, tenders, Mac n cheese bites, hoagie, two different types of wraps, and homemade potato chips were all great. The order was perfect, nothing was missing and all the extras we added were included (I was surprised because it was such a large order and something is inevitably going to be forgotten, but nothing was, like I said it was perfect.)
