Richard went above and beyond anything we could have asked for our wedding and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a full service caterer and staffing for your wedding and/or event. We initially reached out to Richard looking for a vendor to make appetizers for our wedding (we had different vendors for the other courses). He had a wide selection of foods choices, where we selected four appetizers, our personal favorite (and the one with rave reviews from our guests) was the Mediterranean Grilled Lamb Chops with Cilantro Mint Aioli. In addition to the food, Richard offered very competitive pricing on other services as well - servers, bartenders, linen rentals, silver wear, full bar package, and so on. He was very conscious of our budget and offered multiple alternatives for each decision, which was greatly appreciated. Since our reception was at a venue where we could bring our own food and alcohol, it also required us to take care of everything else. Having Richard to take care of so many items was such a huge blessing.

Chef Byrd and her crew are very professional (and very sweet), and they make sure that you and your guests are satisfied. Communication was very good, and they were very transparent on pricing, what's needed on their end, and logistics. 10/5 I'll definitely recommend them to anyone who needs a catering service. They came early to freshly prep the food, served during the event, and even cleaned up their end of things thoroughly. Also, the food is top notch. My favorites were the crab stuffed mushrooms and the mac & cheese tarts. Fruit and vegetable selection was very good and fresh as well. You will not be disappointed!

You get a lot of food for the money, we tried the fried catfish plates, for sides we had candied yams, macaroni, collard greens, fried cabbage, and potato salad. We tried hush puppies and cornbread, and banana pudding for dessert. The fried catfish portion is generous and seasoned well, we had ours with tartar sauce and hot sauce. It was extremely fresh and piping hot. The sides were all great and I look forward to trying more, the collards and potato salad were our favorites! The banana pudding is sweet and they use some sort of cake type dessert instead of vanilla wafers, it's very good! Service is great, it was our first time and we were a little lost. They have a cashier and an ordering kiosk, plenty of room and nice tables to dine in which I appreciate. Staff was friendly! Can't wait to try more of their meals!

Talk about good southern BBQ, fair prices, good atmosphere, and EXTREMELY great customer service. Don't even worry about going up to get your food when they call your name, once they see you acknowledge them they bring it to you with a smile and they lay it all out for you. SUPERB. I had the Catfish Nuggets senior combo w/ Potato Salad and the Black Eyes Peas on rice. SO DARN GOOD! I tried my colleagues brisket and the flavor was smokey and delicious. The portions are more than fair, believe me you will probably end up taking stuff to-go unless you have an army of hungry folks with you. Every aspect of the service was impeccable. Allison helped me figure out what I wanted on my menu to make my guest feel welcome and appreciated. She helped me understand which dishes would go well together and remain in my budget, which is another thing most of my vendors didn't seem to comprehend. Allison also considered aesthetics and helped me come up with a menu that was aesthetically pleasing, which it was! The photographer took several photos of the food because it was just so pretty and fancy looking!!! I get hungry just looking at our wedding photos lol on the front end Allison was awesome in helping me think about things I didn't know to think about. She was friendly and a quick responder which is so helpful with you are trying to plan a wedding. Then, on the day of my wedding, it was as if the food magically and beautifully appeared. Allison and her team were almost invisible - super professional appearance and they didn't stand out at all (which was important to me) I trusted AE catering & events with a big part of the most important day of my life and they were awesome.
