This review is for Sips in the City event. +1 for the variety of food. +1 for the location (Cowles Common) +1 for people watching, complimentary bottled water and sodas The variety of wine........eh, I'll pass. Honestly, it definitely is worth the price of $45 a ticket. Don't get me wrong, there were plenty of wines to try. I think what threw me off was the vendors didn't spend as much time explaining the wines as they poured our tastes. Or maybe I'm expecting way too much. Some of the vendors looked like they just did not want to be there at all. Now, the appetizer selections were on point. Don't expect a big meal, however, you will walk away satisfied. My favorites would have to be the selections from Bubba and Aposto. The popcorn from Maytag Farms was whimsical and fun. Overall, I had a nice time. But I think next year, I'll splurge on the big event, The Grand Tasting. Cheers. read more
