I really like this park. It is very peaceful and soothing. It offers some very nice paved trails,…read moresome of which run along a small lake (Nasoba Lake) and another section runs along the Wolf River. You will find a few picturesque bridges along the way and the trails are well defined and easy to navigate. This park is linked to the Germantown Greenway so, you can run/hike/bike here for miles. It is a beautiful park. The park has an adequate amount of spots to park in in its free private lot. You will find picnic tables and benches along the section of the park that runs along the lake, a very select few of which have a small shelter over them. I cannot confirm or deny if the lake is stocked or not, but there were a lot of people fishing there during my visit. One negative of the park, that it is out of its control is that certain of it areas are prone to flooding after a rain. It is nothing too bad though. This park is well maintained and is a diamond in the rough. I really enjoyed it. It lacks many of the amenities that I look for in a park, nut I took it for what it was, a nature trail park, and found enjoyment in that. It does not have any playgrounds and I could not find any restrooms. There aren't any other recreation activities either such as tennis, basketball or green space, but this park works and I highly recommend checking it out if you are looking for a nice place to hike or relax on a small lake.

Terrific pick park for walking and running. But the path needs to be wider to better accommodate…read morebicycles . Has ample parking and is easy to find. Luv it has lots of shade on the trail. For us solo walkers I prefer the late afternoon where I don't feel so alone. Thxs NP!

Today is Saturday, April 20, 2019…read more I've been searching in the area for different parks. I've come across this particular park. It's nearby a school and I like this location. When you enter where the park is located-which is behind the school there are five bike ramp parking slots for bikes as well as when you enter the drive to the right there are parking spaces for vehicles First thing I like about this park is that it is gated with a fence that goes around the entire border of the park. for obvious reasons I have a toddler and so have it closed and by gate is a big of importance to me. Second thing I like about this park is that I can park my vehicle at about 6 feet away and I can still visually see my vehicle from standing in the middle of the park Also within the park itself there are two sitting areas (benches) for parents, guardians, siblings and caretakers to rest Just to note: that after a rain some areas of the park have standing water which is expected there's a hippo, crocodile and a ladybug on two out of three of those for the kids to play with there's a little bit of standing water -so just be mindful after the rain-when visiting a park as is anywhere else that is an outdoor activity As I stand in the middle of the park I do notice that the make up of the ground is very textured soft cushiony- when kiddos are running around they are not running around on gravel necessarily or asphalt this is a soft cushiony material

Edmund Orgill Park was opened in 1972 and is managed by the Shelby County Conservation Board, a…read morecitizen appointed board of the County of Shelby government. The park is named for Edmund Orgill (1899-1983), a progressive Mayor of the City of Memphis in the middle of the twentieth, who fostered better race relations. The Orgill name has been a fixture on the Memphis business scene for nearly two centuries, and Orgill Brothers (Orgill Inc.) is the oldest running business. The hardware distributor was founded in 1847 when the city was less than thirty years old with a population of less than 10,000 citizens. Orgill Brothers sold about anything a pioneer family would need. Orgill Park is composed of 440 acres of rolling meadows, lakeside vistas, paths and shady spaces for all kinds of outdoor recreation enjoyment. Casper Lake is a 67-acre centerpiece for fishing and boating activities, allowing kayaks, canoes and fishing boats (non-motorized except for trolling motors). There is a fishing pier and the lake is stocked with largemouth bass, bream, sunfish, and catfish. There is a boat launch ramp with ample parking for trailers and guests. All TWRA rules (including fishing permits) apply to the use of Casper Lake. A 1.2-mile road meanders through the center of Orgill Park and around the east side of Casper Lake connecting Mudville Road (on the north side) with Kerrville-Rosemark Road (on the south side). There are acres of open spaces throughout the grounds for free play and any leisure activities, such as bicycling, jogging (a 5K Trail), walking, yoga, kite-flying, disk tossing, etc. Three covered pavilions with picnic tables are available for rental. A 2.84-acre pond is stocked during the Winter months with trout. [Review #698] (22nd Review of 2023)
