They don't give answers and if you go in there a Is a 3 to 4 hr wait time in er. They have no bedside manner. I recommend that anyone who needs medical attention go to a different hospital out of town or to a walk in clinic read more

After being in and unfortunately having to stay in far too many hospitals. I can honestly say they the WRH Ouellette campus. Is by far the worst I've ever seen. Many ignorant, rude, and disrespectful Nurses. Some doctors are in way over their heads. The rooms are filthy, beds are old, and in terrible shape. Garbage all over the.place, and broken equipment. The workers are miserable and complaining all the time. Patient advocate is a waste of time. Very disappointing when a loved one is there, and you can never rest. Knowing all these things! read more

Before surgery I have nothing but good to say about all staff I dealt with. After surgery was a whole other story! Day shift said I would have pain medication every 4 hrs which was needed after back surgery. Midnight shift came in and said I would receive only one shot for pain for the night. Worst night of my life! It was like being in a circus all night, the laughter and giggling was constant as was the gossiping. I never want to stay over night there ever again! read more

Warning to International Students! I went to their emerge for some minor medical reasons. Waited for almost 8 hours. Upon registration, I was not informed that they will bill me directly and not my insurance. They took my insurance details but never ever mentioned that I will be billed directly. I had to pay more than a thousand bucks and hope that Morcare won't make it too hard for me to get a refund! read more

I've heard stories but this was my experience. The wait was long for Emergency department but after I was placed in the bay I'm inspired to call out excellence. The triage nurse, Rn Jasmine, staff in Radiology, staff from Housekeeping (Heidi), and especially Dr. Pozzi, Thanks. It was very busy in the back and you are unaware until you are back there to see rhe volume of people requiring services. I did not feel like a number, I was scared but the level of care and caring is commendable. Keep up the excellent work . read more

I brought my girlfriend there because she was suicidal. Cut her arms and so on. When we got there just before 7pm.. They brought her into a quiet sound proofed room with no outlets. They told us a doctor would see us shortly. The doctor apparently left for the night saying to the nurse that he didn't want to see her. So she would have to wait until the morning to see a doctor. We left the hospital and got a call from the nurse saying that the police would be called if we didn't come back. I took her back on the grounds that she would see a dr and they would treat her better. A police officer and some security guards came to get her out of the car. I asked if my car would be ok if I saw her in. I came back and there was a ticket. I asked the nurse if the cops were called because when she called me I said I'd bring her back... She told me the cops were not called.. 5 min later I found out they were called. She was very snippy with me. So now my gf is there in a room with nothing to keep her mind off things.. Cant use her phone or anything. It seems like they are trying to torture her. I wish I could give a rating less than 1. The security guard was non chalantly patronizing me also saying since I was a security guard I should know better. Yeah I should just let ppl who are not doing their jobs correctly get away with it and not get upset. I am extremely furious with this hospital. I used to work for met hospital and this never happened there. read more

I have mixed feelings about this hospital. I've lost a family member here (many years ago after surgery) and have had family members added (nieces and nephews)....but it's a hospital, so sometimes things don't always turn out as hoped. This review is strictly based on a recent experience (September 2015) involving a family member who had knee replacement surgery that required a few days admission. The nursing staff on his floor were stellar...they were polite, efficient and took the time to make each patient feel as though their convalescence was their utmost priority. Kudos to them. The building itself is showing its age...although they're doing their best to update it. The cafeteria (located in the basement) is now run by a local Italian restaurant. Food is NOT what you'd find at the restaurant and is more along the lines of fast-food Italian places, but it's edible and reasonably priced. The coffee shop (off the Goyeau St entrance) is now a Tim Hortons. There is always a line up, but thankfully it's not a full service Tim Hortons, (they only have coffee, donuts, muffins, etc), so the line moves fairly quickly. The gift shop (located off the Oullette Ave entrance) is small but has a huge array of magazines. In room meals now are called in and made to order.....my dad thought her was at a restaurant and loved the idea that he could order food prepared to his liking, from a printed selection left in his room. To me...it still looked like hospital food...but he liked it, so that's all that matters. No more jello cubes for desert anymore folks ! Everyone we encountered were friendly, not overly in that fake way, but with genuine warmth. read more

Update on my mother. After the ER visit a specialist in Windsor placed her on opioid pain medication for her arm pain and as the months went on her arm continued to swell eventually becoming paralyzed. She moved to an assisted living because of her uncontrolled pain and arm that became paralyzed and swollen to 3 times its original size. She was placed on Hospice as the pain medication resulted in serious side effects of lethargy and confusion. Nine months went by since that ER visit and still no diagnosis as to why her arm was grossly enlarged and paralyzed. I finally had enough of bad medicine! We took her to London Hospital ER where she was admitted. After an extensive workup the results were breast cancer with a tumor in her armpit pressing on her nerves causing the swelling and paralysis. Finally an answer. They stopped Hospice care and changed her pain management and treatment plan. She woke up from her drugged stupor, the pain was now controlled, radiation was scheduled. It took one year to get started on an actual treatment plan that had a diagnosis. She was able to return home and gained some independence for a short time but unfortunately due to the delay in finding out the diagnosis the cancer had already spread to her lungs. She lived another year with a better quality of life and support of her family. Hospice was initiated again when she was near the end. She passed away peacefully and I was left exhausted fighting for her rights to get good healthcare. The fight was worth every minute of her life! read more

ER - I won't go into details about why I was their, patient confidentiality. However, I have to warn you, Dr.Sophia Thomas is the rudest, most condescending Doctor I have EVER dealt with, and I'm a Medical Laboratory Tech myself. I never go in telling a medical professional that unless it's my safety in jeopardy. She is the most condescending Doctor I've EVER dealt with. She told me to NOT come back to the ER for my injury. Geez, where do I go Dr. Thomas ? She also asked me if I was a needle drug user, just because my veins are crap, and they can only get good blood samples from my hands. She asked me if I was a needle drug user. I said "NO". She asked if I was telling the truth. So, I moved on. An RN came in my room and asked if I was right to left or left to right. I had no idea what that meant. So I asked, and she said "they told me out there, leaning her head to the side, that you are a needle drug user". And guess who the Doctor was ? Yup, Dr.Thomas. I let it go once, not again. read more

I was at the Fracture Clinic at Windsor Regional just yesterday, (Sept. 26/17) and felt like I was in a cattle drive, being pushed through as fast as they could to get on to the next money making client. First of all : Staff at reception were very obviously more concerned about their relationships with each other rather than the patients that have come to the hospital for care of ailments. Secondly : Doctors and nurses alike were in a hurry to get me in and out. Minimal interaction to get the job done. I was so upset as I was ushered out, that after a few steps away I decided to go back and get some answers to a couple of questions that I had. Thirdly : A nurse that had not been dealing with my procedure came out to talk to me and said that some of the staff was new. Balony !! All of the staff were noticeably not interested in mine or anyone else's care. I will NEVER go back to that hospital, and will tell anyone interested in health care that Windsor Regional is NOT the place to go. read more
