This is growing every year and is a real feel-good affair.
Windsor Eats is one of my faves and they're here on weekends selling unicorn s'mores on a stick, just for starters, lol!
The centerpiece is the giant tree that puts on a light show set to music but the surrounding lights are all selfie-worthy, especially the giant !
On weekends, besides Windsor Eats, there is a small marketplace of vendors selling all types of wares. (See the jewelry made from Lake Erie glass!). But check the website because other than Windsor Eats, the vendors change weekend to weekend.
Parking is sort of haphazard, especially if you don't know the area so I suggest you arrive at the start. We came at 6pm on a Friday night and it was a little chaotic, but thanks to cold/windy weather, lots of people were leaving quickly.
It has the potential to be even better and I assume it will as it's young. They currently have paths/walkways that don't make sense and sometimes people telling you can't walk a certain way, but then those people disappear and everyone walks that way again... they have a rainbow arc/lights area that you can't walk anywhere near because of the train, which is for tots only..so some of that could be worked out to elongate the experience or make the walking path more efficient. (You'll find yourself back tracking and trying to figure out how to get from A to B)
But it's a fun night especially on the weekends. (I wouldn't suggest going thru the border chaos only for this on a weekday, without the holiday market... have dinner in town or shop too, etc). The park is located straight up Oulette so maybe stop at Frenchies in your way home. read more
