This camp was AMAZING!! I didn't know what to expect at first, but it turned out to be one of the best experiences ever. It was a small camp, so we really got to know each other. By the end, it felt like we were one big family. Spending time with my family was so special, but I also loved hanging out with new friends. The staff was super kind and made everything feel safe and fun. They really cared about us and made sure everyone felt included. The skit night was seriously the BEST part -- I laughed so hard and still remember some of the jokes! And the Wrangler Breakfast was the coolest experience ever -- eating out by the horses with the mountains around us felt like something out of a movie! I also did some things I didn't think I'd do... I rode a horse again (which was a little scary at first!) and even tried kayaking for the very first time. It was so cool being out on the water. I am a creature of habit and happy that I did venture out of my comfort zone this time. I will miss the camp we always go to this year but it was a beautiful time in nature, in worship, and in the friendships I made. I didn't want to leave, but I know I'll remember this camp forever. My son and I were vacationing at WRR last week for the tenth time because the place still goes out of its way to provide the activities and service to let families have a relaxing, fun filled week. But, this time was different since my son cut his arm Wednesday night requiring a trip to the ER and stitches. The permanent staff jumped into action as did many guests, most of whom we didn't know, with care, compassion and many prayers. Don McIntyre, the Executive Director, his wife and two guests we'd gotten to know accompanied us to the hospital and didn't leave until we did . Upon my son's request to go home, Don drove us to an airport hotel arriving there in the wee hours of the morning and then went to the airport at 4:30 AM to reschedule our trip while my son slept and I watched over him. When Don said "Anything you need." he meant it. Even without a harrowing experience like we had, you'll find "Anything you need." is WRR's unofficial motto. read more

Absolutely amazing! We spent a week at Wind River Christian Dude Ranch, and it was the experience of a lifetime, truly life changing. The staff are like family, loving, caring and down right phenomenal. Clean, up to date, 5 star cabins, amazing espresso from 7-9am every morning, ridiculously great food (even for me Celiac). Words just can't describe the beauty of the grounds, location/setting, and facilities. Horseback riding of all types, ziplining, fishing, pool was an amazing 84 degrees, spa 102 degrees, smores, everything and anything you want or need the staff will accommodate. We have 4 kids 10 and under, and everyone had a relaxing, fun, lifelong memory making week. read more

A topnotch family vacation that we will treasure for years to come! We just stayed during week 14, 2018 in the Meeker cabin. The staff was attentive, sincere and welcoming. Being escorted on property by wranglers on horseback instantly gave me a feeling that it was going to be an amazing week. Our cabin was wonderful, more room than we needed but perfect. I really enjoyed having the volunteers - Delinda, Bill & Matt there participating and spending time with us even though they were there in service. The interactions with them and all the other staff members, adds a special yet effortless touch. They were all such kind & genuine people. It was scary at first and ultimately liberating how open but safe everything was for our 2.5yo daughter. She couldn't get enough of Kids Club, her teachers Liza, Molly & Delinda and felt right at home on the ranch. At the end of the week she could have roamed around on her own without a worry in the world if I let her. We talk about her new friend Gunner and their horse Moon Shredder daily and she is still living in her cowgirl boots. Also worth mentioning: David was so lively and entertaining. Mo's talent for videography is a true gift. I loved my horses, Sugar & Amazing Grace. The wranglers were all so patient and knowledgeable. Can't forget the COOKIES and steak dinner!! That brings me to my one suggestion of what I think could make WR even better - providing take home recipes for some of the awesome food that is served!! The poppysead cake, oatmeal raisin cookies, baked oatmeal, twice baked potatoes, gut busters... the list goes on. A WR cookbook for sale in the gift shop or even a receipe page here on your Facebook would be VERY much appreciated because I've been having withdrawals after being back home for a week. read more
