When we decided to sell the property this year in 2018, Tim was our natural choice after our positive experience when we purchased this property. His wife Andrea has since joined the business, together as the Holsten Team, and she is adept at staging properties for the market. We listed the property in mid-March with some apprehension, since the new tax laws have negatively impacted the market for second homes. As such, we assumed our buyer would either be purchasing it as a primary residence or as a rental property. Originally, we staged it as a primary residence, but when the response was tepid, we discussed with Tim the idea of focusing on staging it primarily as an income property. His flexibility and willingness to listen to our ideas, and his advice along the way, proved vital as we transitioned to stage it for the vacation rental market.
