Yet another update. One of the few things this place had going for it was that I had a nice small pool right outside my door! I really enjoyed it last summer. Well, after several excuse emails about code changing, they opened up 2 of the 4 pools that are advertised, with no updates as to when the other pools would be opened. My closest pool has looked like Shreks swamp all summer long, becoming a mosquito breeding ground. Today, I got an email about an end of the summer pool party, which felt like more of a slap in the face than anything else, especially after no communication about the other pools not being opened. When you drive in the community, there is a big sign right by the office that says, " 4 sparkling pools." If that's not a sign, a leasing office is lying to your face to take your money, I don't know what is. read more

Don't trust them. The management will try to trick you with fake youtube videos, and deny to show you the apartment due to 'ongoing construction', very shady business practices. The apartment we applied to was switched by them without informing us, and when we confronted them they brushed it off. Very disgusting, terribly maintained apartments. The place smells, the wallas are cracked, they attempted to fix the bathroom tiles using plaster and their "skylight" is a dirty glass window. Don't accept nonsense. read more

We haven't had any problems. The neighbors are very friendly. The apartments are a nice size. The grounds are kept clean.

Honestly... one of the best complexes I've had the pleasure of living at. They worked with me on my application, they answered all my questions, an email or phone call never went unanswered... Moving in was a breeze, the price is very reasonable, the location is perfect. I work days and nights throughout the week and it's safe , quiet 24/7. I have 2 babies under 3 and a dog, we have the park at a 2 minute walk, the dog park is great, maintenance keeps everything clean. Speaking of maintenance, I had a request I put in maybe around 11am and by 5pm they were knocking and ready to fix the problem. The apartment themselves have plenty of storage, are great (I am sort of a minimalist so that plays into space) but the kitchen is bigger than I am use to and the living area is perfect for a sectional or a simple couch AND a play corner. My mother and I lived in this apartment in 2009 and the apartment was so INFESTED WITH ROACHES that they were crawling into our beds at night and had occupied every warm electrical appliance that we owned. By the time our lease was up at the end of a year, all of our electronic belongings were ruined and we had to burn the furniture. We lost everything because of this place!! Now, all these years later, a friend of mine has moved into Willow Ridge and has the exact same problem happening. Willow Ridge Apartments has COCKROACH INFESTATION that they utterly refuse to address...even after a decade. Roaches live in walls. The only way to rid of an infestation in an apartment building is to move everybody out and tear open the walls. Willow Ridge refuses to be honest and do the right thing and it's disgusting to see that people are still suffering at the hands of a corrupt corporation. Oh, and you can stop sending me spam emails trying to regain my patronage. It will NEVER HAPPEN. Run, don't walk, away from this apartment complex!! Do not move here! Management is terrible. If you need help at the office they are always closed, they never answer the phone or return your calls. I also tried calling corporate, no luck either. They have mold in the apartments and they come and cover it with paint. The pools are closed most of the summer. The apartments smell and have roaches. We had to go and inquire about our lease ending because we never received any communication. We moved out, never received a text a call an email a letter in the mail letting us know that we "owed' them for nonexistent damages that they created. They just want to take more money out of you! They sent us to collection when they had never sent any communication to us. Called the office and they said they keep no records at all that I had to call corporate. What kind of leasing office doesn't keep records or sends correspondence? they wash their hands by saying call corporate, corporate never answers while your credit is being ruined. It frustrates me that management companies can do this to residents, they have so much power in their hands and there's little you can do to fight them unless you have money to hire a lawyer and fight them in court and prove that what they did was wrong. read more

I recently moved into this community a month ago. It looked inviting and quiet. However, my experience here in the last month has been less than positive. This is supposed to be a drug free community. I have made several complaints about the Marijuana smoke (smells like skunk), that is seeping into my apartment through the vents, all day, every day. I explained to management that it is causing breathing problems, and it is offensive. I asked could I transfer to another unit.. The request was denied. I was informed I can transfer after 6 months with a fee of $500.00. I asked can I terminate my lease without penalty. Request denied. Management informed me that a letter was sent and informed me that there is nothing else they can do however they informed me I can call the authorities if I like. If you are looking for a drug free environment, this community is not it. read more

Warning!!! Do not move here! Do not look into them, there are much better options where you will be much happier! I just moved out I paid my last month rent on their portal, when I moved out there was a major pest problem!! ROACHES everywhere and because they couldn't get the problem under control I couldn't do the proper vacuuming because they are still trying to kill bugs. Vacuuming is the only thing we didn't do. My mom is older and can't lift things or go up and down the stairs, but she was there helping me clean the bathrooms and kitchen wiping everything down. Yet I get a letter saying "they had to clean the oven, refrigerator, microwave, and had to replace the entire carpet, and trying to make me pay them rent again." All of this is extremely FALSE. While I was expecting to get a small deposit back I got a bill for $829.75! DO NOT MOVE HERE! Trust me you will regret it. read more

Willow Ridge Apartments are a great value for the money. We have a 2 BR/2BA for $639, including pet fee, water, trash, and sewer. They are in the process of renovating apartments to feature updated kitchens and bathrooms. Although ours is not renovated, we have been happy here. One of the best perks is that every apartment has a full size washer/dryer which is super convenient! From our experience, the part of the complex you live in has a lot to do with your experience. We live toward the front of the complex, where we have found it to be quiet and safe. People that live further in have not been as positive about the apartments, which results in some negative reviews. For the most part, there are families and young people that live in these apartments. There are several pools on the community, a tennis court, and a soccer court. There is also an exercise facility with a variety of exercise equipment, but it is not the most updated. We had difficulty obtaining a key for the tennis courts, and did not receive one throughout our entire lease- very disappointing! The staff at Willow Ridge are friendly and mostly responsive to issues. We had to have our linoleum replaced in the bathroom, which took about a month for someone to come. However, they are better with "quick fix" repairs. They allow you to paint walls as long as you paint them back before moving out. Overall, this apartment complex is a good place to live, especially considering the prices. read more

Lived there for almost 3 years, at the very back if it matters. I worked 2nd shift so coming home there were ALWAYS Police arresting people in the parking lot. My car was almost stolen once even with an alarm on it??? Police Officer said it was probably crack heads who usually don't pay attention to alarms, he said they were rather fond of this parking lot... Also had a cereall raplist make a guest appearance one night and try to break down the door of the single lady across from me who had just moved from Vermont or something-Imagine her Yelp story.... He was caught a month or so later which is why I'm privy to his cereal tendencies. When I first got the apt. it did seem like a good deal and figured I could put up with some things for the price. I had the black mold and other various issues as well but I was looking for a house so I was just buying time. The reason for 1 star is the absolutely horrible customer relation skills-or lack there of. Of all the employees and especially management. Don't ever expect to get things taken care of in a timely manner and do expect attitude for even trying to get something fixed. If you ever have a problem you are seriously sol. I would check the be be be site on these guise before even attempting renting from here. Especially for a single lady I would seriously avoid. One last thing, their maintenance guys are f;in creepy!!! I hated the fact these guys actually had a key to my apt. And I'd come home randomly and find them there for no apparent reason. read more

So I'm going on my 4th year at Willow Ridge. First apartment I've wanted to keep resigning a lease. I will stay here until I can get a house. I see people complain about bugs but I don't have a problem with them and I only get the mandatory pest control ONCE a year lol. Never have problems with maintenance, they've come to my apartment within 24 hrs even tho technically they have 48. Parking is sometimes a pain but that's like all apartments without garages. The staff is great especially when you have issues and do their best to accommodate and help you out! My favorite thing is the mailboxes. When you get a mid size package it goes into a locker you have access to instead of the office that way you can get it after hours. Located near 2 shopping malls, lots of places to eat, and 485 access. read more

My wife, 4 month old son, and I are moving from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom. They made things extremely easy to move. Sabrina was able to help us get approved and moving in quickly. If you have any issues or questions, Anngel is the person to go to. She helped with the move into the 1 bedroom and now into our new 2 bedroom apartment. She is pretty awesome. If you are looking for an Apartment Complex that feels like home, Willow Ridge is your final stop. Staff members truly care about their residents, customer service is a top priority with them. Speaking personally, no matter what issue or problem might have sprung up randomly for me...the staff has always been on point, fixing things quickly. Truly they have helped remove the stress off of me; if there is a problem they have the solution already figured out before you leave their office or get off the phone with them. The maintenance staff is absolutely amazing as well, great with pets and always friendly. My husky pup loves the dog park and greeting any staff member who has a moment when walking around the complex. This is the perfect home, great staff, great location. read more

Heather is usually who I deal with when I go into the office and she's always talkative, funny, sociable. For a bum hahaha! Most disgusting apartment complex in the area. Trash everywhere, lack of landscaping attention, etc. Paper thin walls, terrible plumbing.....I mean basically spend a few hundred dollars more and anything better in Ballantyne. It will save you from a contract in a nightmare. read more

Only people that have given 5 stars are employees! The only thing this apartment complex has going for it is the location. There is something wrong or something needing to be done every other week at least! The people that work in the leasing center are rude to you and roll their eyes if you ask them to do anything after you sign the lease. They don't give proper notice or give you wrong time frames for when work should happen. The "four" pools are not cleaned, except for the one by the leasing center and another one has been closed all summer long. There is a bug problem even when you get pest control to spray the apartments. No circulation of the air in the apartment. Most of the maintenance workers seem to be nice, but they always seem to be different people so I'm not sure if they rotate with another complex or they can't keep workers happy. Try to scam you out of money all the time (can't wait to see what "damage fees" they find when we leave) yet send you a million emails a day asking you to refer a friend to live here HA! Just stay away and avoid the headache. I'm counting down the days until we leave! read more

Willow Ridge is a horrible apartment complex. I lived at Willow Ridge many years ago and experienced flooding in my bedroom during a couple of major rain events in the area. I figured this bad experience had to be a simple fluke and chose to move back recently. Well that was a HUGE mistake. The "renovated" apartment that I lived in was grossly overpriced ($200 more than what they had previously charged for a similar 2BR 2 BA) and it was occupied by an abundance of nasty bugs (daddy long leg spiders, silverfish, centipedes & huge black ROACHES or water bugs were everywhere & fought to share the space) Allergies aren't normally a problem for me however they were out of control my entire lease due to the black mold that you could both see and smell. Maintenance was called often and only did the bare minimum to fix issues...I could go on & on. Run (don't walk) away from this apartment complex! read more

I liked living here over the winter, except the really thin windows which are super drafty, but the fireplace makes up for that. Now that it is summer though, it is terrible. There are pools, sure, but they waited until June to open one. now it is halfway through June and a couple more are open, but the water is nasty to say the least. Dead skin floating around, half the pools have dirt on the bottom, not even filled up all the way! the one descent pool is terrible, it seems like the whole apartment complex is there all day everyday and people leave their trash around and the area around the pool is not kept up very well. They just raised everyone's rent to supposedly pay for this upkeep. Dropping the ball big time! I really can't believe people are letting their kids in that disgusting water! Seems like a great place to live until you have lived here 4 yrs. and have a complaint so you need to deal with the people working in the front office. They, in my opinion, need a lesson in customer service as well as client loyalty. I was not shown any compassion nor did they help resolve my issue. I'm sure the only concern on their mind was my rent check. I cannot speak for anyone else but at least treat me like a human being. Needless to say when the time comes I will not be renewing my lease. These apartments may seem nice in appearance just hope you won't need any assistance from the front office if you decide to live here. read more

My friend leased an apartment at this prison facility in the winter of 2010. Immediately upon moving in he noticed a leak in the bedroom that caused the room to flood every time it rained. It was apparent that the leak had been there for quite some time and that they had leased the apartment knowing about the issue. Requests to be moved to another apartment, be let out of the lease or have the issue repaired have been met with disdain or dismissed by the property manager. He continues to say the repairs have been sent out for bid. TEN MONTHS LATER the bedroom is still flooding every time it rains. Furniture and box springs have been damaged or destroyed including a shelf my friend's grandfather made that can never be replaced. The manager is unwilling to even take money off the rent to compensate for missed time from work and damages. Several days per month my friend is unable to use his apartment and/or bedroom due to flooding, loud fans and dehumidifiers running, etc. There is also MOLD in the kitchen resulting, I am sure, from the constant dampness in the apartment. The entire place smells musty and clothes have to be stored in plastic containers to keep them from getting wet and/or smelling like the damp carpet. I firmly believe my friend's health is suffering possible long term effects. I know his mental state and financial situation have been compromised as well. read more
