I am a regular visitor to this library now with my two little girls.
I remember my parents taking me to our local library growing up once every couple of weeks to choose new books to borrow and there is something rather lovely that I am now doing this with my girls.
William Patrick Library in Kirkintilloch is housed in a lovely bright modern building.
What makes it for me is the excellent kids section with some toys to keep the very little ones amused, a family reading area, and there is always some colouring in pages and pencils left out.
There are regular Bookbug sessions held for babies and toddlers, which are very popular and can be very busy.
There is free internet and computer access and a small cafe area with a Costa coffee franchise and a range of newspapers available to peruse.
There is a decent selection of DVDs, CDs and computer games to rent also.
There are lots of little seating areas with comfy chairs dotted around the adults book section.
