The staff was very nice and helpful.. answered questions I had and gave suggestions.. hence the salt room lol.. you don't know what's offered if you don't ask! I paid $10 for 45 min in salt room.. they never told us anything about membership.. might be free and pay as you use.. not sure but we enjoyed our visit. Food was pretty good too.. hubby ordered brisket tacos and smoked Mac n cheese which was pretty good! Cook came over get our thoughts on taste he was pretty nice too! Pickle ball, tennis, a state of the art gym, a salt room, an infrared sauna and a refreshment lounge which serves smoothies, snacks and beer along with several TVs in some of the areas. I believe they offer yoga too. They offer different packages for individuals and families. We decided to dump our Planet Fitness membership and join up here instead. It's a clean, uncrowded, non judgmental environment. We look forward to getting back into shape now that we are both retired.

It has cabins/cottages to rent that are in the woods with all you would need! There is a beautiful golf course, restaurant, old time original farm, plenty of hiking trails, a lodge with an indoor pool, playgrounds, and a new splash pad which is almost complete. The Fiddlers' Convention is the pre-imminent get-together in the world for lovers of bluegrass and old-time mountain music, and routinely draws over 5,000 folks for a six/seven day celebration of all things old-time musical. Felts Park provides its 3,000 seat covered grandstand and huge covered stage for the event, as well as space for 500-800 travel trailers and campers for those attendees wishing to "rough it" while attending the festival. The park is over 28 acres in size, and offers plenty of room for attendees to spread out, and just have a great week of music, fellowship and relaxation in the mountains. Local Galax residents have a lot of other park features to enjoy when the Old Fiddlers' Convention isn't in town: a huge outdoor swimming pool, baseball and soccer fields, tennis and basketball courts, playgrounds and covered picnic shelters and lots of room to walk and jog. The Park is a lovely civic asset, and a wonderful host to my favorite annual mountain music celebration.
