I took my dog to ABC and really liked the way he was treated. I wish I could find a good vet now that we have moved.

I have taken my dogs to Desert Hills Animal Hospital for many years. My older golden retriever…read morelived to 16 and my current dog, now 8, has also been a patient there since she was a puppy. For a long time I truly loved this clinic. The staff used to feel very welcoming, attentive, and personal, and you genuinely felt cared for when you walked in. I'm really sad to write this review because I normally don't leave negative reviews, but after giving the clinic several chances I felt it was important to share my experience. The clinic seems much busier now, and while I understand that is a sign of a successful business and I support that, it has started to feel like they may be taking on more than they can handle, and that change is noticeable in the overall clinic experience. Most recently I called because my dog's paw was swollen. Since there were no appointments available, I was told I could drop her off in the morning and they would try to fit her in. I waited about 2.5 hours for a call back and received very little guidance beyond confirming that her paw was swollen. The conversation quickly shifted to recommending x rays on both paws along with other items like vaccines and tests that didn't seem directly related to the reason I brought her in. I also asked about switching her dog food due to past urinary issues and never received clear guidance on that. It left me feeling like the focus was more on adding charges rather than helping me understand what was best for my dog, and this has been my experience the past 3-4 visits. This clinic used to be a place I trusted deeply, which is why this is so disappointing. I'm only sharing this in hopes that the team might bring back some of the personal care and attention that once made this place feel so special.

I dont care about company policy, I dont care that all the vets are doing this, IT DOESNT MAKE IT RIGHT! this is what I'm being told today as I try and get my companion in, she's not well and as a dog mom when your dog isn't well, you aren't either.. The manager gets on the line and has no compassion whatsoever, she's rude and very insensitive. No one in this life is compassionate anymore, its just "business " to them, no heart, no feeling, just straight up money hungry. Unfortunately, there are hardly any good people left. I will say this tho, I'm taking my business elsewhere that's for sure, I would not want to take my animals to a place where you are just a cha ching kinda deal! If you dont care, I'm not trusting you to my sick animals PERIOD. All you care about is how much money you can make off of hurting, distraught, worried individuals who care about their animals and are in a spot of vulnerability and all you do is TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE LIKE THAT! SHAME ON YOU! GREEDY business you are! I will not step one foot in your establishment EVER AGAIN! Oh and the conversation that was had between the dr and I on the phone lady night, absolutely pointless! You were more worried about having a 15 minute conversation about nothing! That's how you made me feel, wicked and disappointing to say the least. Tasteless and disgusting. I would NOT recommend this place to anybody who cares about your animals, because point blank, they don't!

The nicest people you would ever want to take my cat. They are always pleasant and willing to help.read more

- A Practice in Decline…read more I want to be upfront: I previously gave Sage Veterinary Care 5 stars, and that rating reflected a genuinely excellent practice. This review reflects an entirely different experience under their current operation. My family has two golden retrievers -- Koda (1.5 years) and Howie (6.5 years) -- and we have experienced repeated scheduling failures over the past several months, including confirmed appointments being rejected after the fact. Today was the final straw. I drove to the clinic, brought my dog in for pre-operative blood work ahead of a scheduled neutering next week, waited while they took him back -- and then was told in person that they don't have enough staff scheduled for his surgery date. No phone call. No message. No heads up of any kind. Just: come in, wait, and oh by the way, we don't know when we can reschedule you. That is completely unacceptable. This information was known before my appointment. A 30-second phone call would have saved the trip, the wait, and the stress on my dog. Instead, the burden was placed entirely on us to show up and find out in person. This is a pattern with this practice since their previous veterinarians left. We have been rejected for scheduled appointments multiple times across both dogs. The communication failures are consistent and the operational instability is real. We are done. Both dogs are moving to a new provider effective today. I genuinely hope they can turn things around, but I cannot in good conscience recommend Sage Veterinary Care in their current state and for the safety of our dogs.
