I regret to have to write a poor review for a professional service provider online, but unfortunately the level of service my company received from Willi & Janocha was so poor that I am compelled to do so.
My company is international and maintains a small office in Germany with a few contracted workers with whom I often communicate. They help me navigate German law and culture, for which I am grateful. They found and hired Willi & Janocha to pursue some delinquent customer accounts for us through Germany's routine collection process.
My coworkers in Germany are not attorneys, and so I tried to reach out to our attorney (I will not identify him by name) to speak lawyer to lawyer. From there, I was never able to successfully speak to him, whether by email or phone, in any reasonable manner.
I emailed the attorney repeatedly asking to speak after my coworkers had contacted him and confirmed he would be available for a call. He would delay his replies to me for a week at a time, despite multiple reminders. When he did respond to me, his responses were incomplete and failed to contain requested detail as to timing of his responses. This happened several times for weeks. The entire time I tried to be understanding to his I'm sure busy schedule, while reminding him that we need feedback in a predicable manner and that I could not keep chasing him for responses.
Finally, my coworkers sent me a German language-only letter from Willi & Janocha requesting that I not communicate directly with them anymore. No reason was given for this change, and I never did get even a response on the phone call the attorney had agreed to have with me. Indeed, the letter stated that they "repeatedly replied to me," while wholly failing to mention that their replies were both late and incomplete.
I have never been so insulted by a service provider in my life asI was by the way I was treated by the attorneys at Willi & Janocha. I deeply hope that my experience was the result of some miscommunication and that they do not routinely abuse their customers' time and good will as a matter of course.
I hope this message will warn others to expect to be treated as I was. I can only hope that Willi & Janocha will see this message and take corrective action to keep their house in order. read more
