Small class size 4. Emphasis on speaking 5. Reasonably priced Europa fulfilled all of these criteria and I decided to take a placement test for French classes. Sylvie was really helpful and flexible regarding what level I wanted to take in accordance with my test results. The session started in March and ended in May. The classes I took were twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-9 pm. There was homework and some exams which were graded more strictly than I expected but I preferred it. The majority of the class centered around speaking and listening exercises and there were 4 of us total. It was a bit frustrating to be in a class with people of different levels but I suppose that's what a beginner class needs to be. I learned a lot but I wish it was a bit more fast-paced and stricter on how fast we needed to learn. I chose this school over the commune because of the combination of a much smaller class size, lower cost, and more material covered. I'm happy I did.

The classes are suppose to be 4 hours - 3 times a week. However , the class on zoom is only 2 hours. I totally understand they are doing their best. But the staff at the front desk are very rude. I asked for a refund and they hung up on me. The should at least charge half price for the sessions due to the situation. I will make sure I tell everyone I know to never go to this school. Last but not least , there are students in my class that are not beginners. They should do a level test , to rank where you start.
