Apparrently there was a time, in the not too distant past, when the trains still stopped here. However, that is no longer the case, and it almost seems as if we are on the cusp of seeing the end of the passenger train going through here anyway, which I have to admit is a real shame. Anyway, this is the last station on the South Australian side of the border, and I suspect that back when the train ran on a daily basis, the South Australian staff would get off here, and catch the next train back. Mind you, this station has certainly seen better days, and it honestly would be good if these regional areas could be revitalised with an operating rail network. read more
