A commercialized zoo for viewing the most common animals in Australia. Wild Life is part of the pier attractions similar to Icon Park in Orlando. They also had a Madam Tussauds museum. They had a good amount of different animal exhibit spots. The emu enclosure and Kangaroo viewing area were two of my favorites! They had a nice outdoor viewing area where the animals could come up to you and you could feed them and touch them. The other viewing space I enjoyed was the Koalas in the cafe area. It was nice to sit and enjoy a snack with Koalas sitting near me enjoying eucalypts leaves! read more

I wanted to go to the big zoo, the one you have to take a ferry to, but we had limited time in Sydney and I wanted to buy a 3 attraction pass that included Sea Life and Sydney Tower Eye. I highly recommend doing this if you're interested in all three because it is quite the savings. Honestly, I'm quite glad we came to Wild Life Sydney and didn't visit the big zoo. We were mostly interested in AUSTRALIAN wild life and you certainly got that here. Coming around the corner, we walked past Sea Life and the line was out of control so I thought it was going to be crowded and annoying here as well. Thankfully, there was no line and it wasn't crowded inside at all. We were here around 11am, which feels like prime time so we got very lucky. Some highlights were being able to pet a kangaroo, which was shockingly nice, they have such soft fur and the photo ops with the koalas. Not going to lie I felt a bit cheated by the koala experience. While we waited our turn, I watched the worker talk to and show the couple before us both sides of the koala enclosures, giving facts and taking lots of pictures. When we came up, we were taken to one koala and not really spoken to unless we asked a question. Eh, whatever, the photos were cute. I'd recommend this place if you're into learning more about some interesting Australian animals. read more
I didn't expect to like this place to be as fun as it was. I originally came here as a mistake thinking that this is the bigger Sydney Zoo. This is more like a tourist smaller zoo right at the Darling Harbour. However don't let this sway you because this turned out to be phenomenal. Here is why, we've all been to zoos so we probably are tired of looking at the same animals such as giraffes, zebras, elephants etc so you really only care about the unique animals you can only find here in Australia and there are plenty here. You get to see many different lizards such as frilled lizards, koala, wallabies, kangaroos, crocodiles, a wombat, a platypus and many more. In other words you get to experience what you want to see without going further away from the hotels area and without baking in the sun. I'd highly recommend this place for anyone interested in animals unique to Australia. read more
If you are in downtown Sydney and want to see the Koalas and a kangaroo this is amazing convenient. Probably most people come only for those two animals. There are others but it is not extensive like a full zoo. The place feels very commercial but they do appear to take care of the animals. And I was able to see a Koala and a roo! read more
When you travel with a Natural Resource and Environmental Management grad you visit a lot of animals and gardens. Located in Darling Harbor, it's easy to find. You can purchase single or combination tickets. The more you see, the cheaper the ticket. It's not a full zoo. Wild Life is home to animals native to Australia. Several you rarely get to see in other zoos around the world. We walked through an open area with young kangaroos. Viewed the Tasmanian Devils from behind glass. Got up close to a mama koala and her snuggling baby. Saw the cute wallaby's. In December there was some remodeling, so the fresh water crocodile exhibit was closed. Wombats and numbats are just adorable. See the Southern Cassowaries, the most deadly bird. Inside there are several enclosures for various native spiders, snakes and lizards. Between 11 am and 3 pm are most of the feeding and lecture times. They are posted and very informative. There was plenty to see and watch, and took a couple of hours. Near the koalas, there's a small cafe to grab a snack while watching them sleep. We walked into the neighborhood, so I can't vouch for parking. read more
