I had been going to this place a few times, great food always great service. That all changed on Saturday night it was a group of 7 of us, decided to go there for dinner that night and got there at 630pm. Between 7 -8. They put on music it was so loud we couldn't hear anything or the servicer have a conversation. There was a lady bent over showing everything shaking her butt. Very nasty . The music was like we were in the club. Music saying the N-word. It was not a place to take a family anymore. I will never go back. I even ask the server when did they start this. She wasn't sure, but it is every Friday,Saturday, and Sunday night. My cousin's watch even gave her an alarm saying how unsafe it was being so loud. The service was not good had to get my refill. My 2 years old spilled his drink I had to walk over and get a mop clean it up and ask for a wet sign so no one would fall. It was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. The place felt trashy with all that going on, but if that's the class of people the owner wanted. I had a video of the place but it won't post only this picture. The food wasn't good. It is not worth all the hype. The prices are too much f9r the amount of food you get. Everything is alacart. We spent s160.00 with nothing to show for it. The burgers were bland with no pickles. The bathrooms were not clean and their heath inspection was a 87. Needless to say I will never go there again however that is just my opinion. read more

I want to start off with the staff not being the issue, the alleged manager and my waitress were great; however this is the 3rd time my fiance and I have eaten here and each time he has asked for 7-10 alcoholic beverages from shots of liquor to beer that is listed on the menu and they haven't had ANYthing i've requested not once. At that point I asked the waitress who made 10 trips running back and forth to the bar to let me know what they can offer me which only took a moment! it would be different if this was the first time maybe.. but this is the third time within 2 months we have had the EXACT same experience. I am very passive and understanding and don't like to make anyone uncomfortable because the staff was on point. The icing on top of the cake includes the massive Tv behind the bar and my first visit showed Trapped in the Closet by R-Kelly uncensored, which included sex scenes and perverse language with a restaurant full of children.. Tonight the large Television was playing a show that included language like *Big D*** multiple times very clearly at a high volume including other poor language, with children running around and some even sitting right by the bar watching it.. (I grew up very uncensored with my parents but not when i'm out eating in a public restaurant) I want to reiterate this did not happen just once nor twice but three times within a two month time span. My bill was close to or more than $100 each time including my tip. I politely asked my waitress to address my $90 bill (before tip) because this is the 3RD TIME i had to settle for menu items I had no desire to consume JUST so my fiancé could enjoy herself while i hold my tongue. The food is good, they have a decent staff who are clearly dealing with these situations regularly and it is not okay. Anyone with any authority over this store please reach out to me. I would love to have a conversation with the intent of improving every customers experience including my own so my pregnant fiancé can continue enjoying herself. read more

We sat on the Patio. Big mistake because it was like there was no servers for the patio. We were there for almost 20 minutes before we got our Oder taken. They don't have a kids menu. They should say no kids allowed if they don't want to provide a menu for them. My daughter ordered shrimp, the food runner dropped one of her shrimp didn't offer to replace it. I have been waiting to try this restaurant for quite a while. The loud music was a bit of a turn-off when we went in. We did not get used to it. We were very excited when we saw a lobster roll in the menu. It's apparently new on the menu and the server didn't know anything about it and had to ask. For the past few years we have had fun searching for the best lobster roll in metro Atlanta. This was NOT it! The clue should have been that it was listed on the menu as "Main" lobster. If you can't even spell the primary ingredient on the menu, it's probably a problem. The lobster, mayo, seasoning mix wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great. It was on a hamburger bun, not a traditional lobster roll. It was all bread and took away from the lobster. It was served without silverware or napkins which we had to ask for. We asked for lemon and the server forgot and we had to ask again. I won't say that I'll never go back, but it won't be soon. It might be a good place for a beer, but not for dinner. read more

First time there was August 21st. It was maybe a 20 minute wait. Staff was very professional. I order a combo with crablegs, shrimp and lobster boil. I didn't eat the lobster because I couldn't get it out of the tail. I took it home but I still didn't eat it. The crablegs and shrimp boil was good. They don't want to be compared to Juicy Crab but their main items on the menu are just like Juicy Crab. My 2nd visit was 9/11 no wait at all. I order the crablegs and shrimp boil. The crablegs were old and very hard to get out the shell. The shrimp was good. The staff was on point. My waitress both times was Zyon. My husband and I had been waiting for this place to open up, we used to live in CA and were big fans of restaurants like this one. When we moved to GA we were super bummed that we couldn't find restaurants that served this type of food but we finally came across Juicy Crab and we really enjoyed it, it was still not compared to the restaurants in CA because the restaurants in CA are pretty amazing (food and service) but we were just happy that we had something similar at the least. We live near the the Jimmy Lee area and when we saw a billboard advertising the upcoming opening of Crazy Crab we got really excited, thinking we were going to have one of our favorite foods close by! finally I found out 2 days ago that it opened and we tried it today. To start it wasn't bad , we walked in and the hostess told us there was a 20-30 min wait for two people and knowing how packed these type of restaurants get we thought it was pretty standard wait time so we signed in our name and waited. We got #16 and when the hostess started calling numbers she was at #1 so I thought it was doable to get to 16 in 20-30 min. While waiting I watched a whole area getting cleaned from the previous parties that were seated there (about 4 tables and 1 booth) the people cleaning it were pretty much some of the hostesses and a couple of other guys that looked like buzz boys (I want to say about 5 of them) it literally took these 5 KIDS like half an hour to clean that small area in between chit chatting and joking around with each other, no urgency at all to try and get people seated. So of course after 30 min the 10 parties in front of of needed to be seated and we ended up waiting for almost 45 min instead of 20-30 min. Once they finally called our number they sat us in this tall bar table with two stools and literally the only thing that fit on the table was the tray of food and our drinks nothing else. Clearly these tables are part of the bar but they were still seating people on them for diner, once seated the waitress came over to take our drink order and my husband asked for a beer and she just said "we don't have alcohol" even though we were seated in "the bar area"' and there were giant beer and wine bottle pictures on the wall ‍ and ok maybe they haven't gotten the bar set up since they recently opened but the waitress could have done a bit better job on at least saying "oh yeah sorry our bar is not set up yet but it will be soon" or whatever we're not even sure if there licensed to sell alcohol or if they ever will sell alcohol, who knows! Obviously her promoting and selling skills are not very developed. We ordered our drinks and I ordered our food since we already knew what we wanted. We ordered fried calamari, 1/2 pound clams, 1/2 pound mussels, 1/2 pound shrimp and 1/2 pound sausage all in the same bag with crazy crab sauce and HOT. The waitress took a good 15 -20 min to bring our drinks and another 30 min to bring out our food (not checking in at all in between and pretty much just hangin behind the bar doing chit chatting with other customers) finally once our food was out THE DISAPPOINTMENT! First off the bag was pretty small so no way there was 2 lbs of food in there all together, once we opened the bag and put everything in the tray compared to all the other restaurants we've been to that serve this food, there was literally hardly any sauce in the bag! All the food just looked steamed. The little bit of sauce in there was super watery and light in color (all other places the food comes drenched in sauce and the sauce is thick and red in color) my husband and I were a bit confused, we started eating the food and the sauce was just garlic and butter no spicy ness AT ALL even though we asked for HOT! We mentioned it to the waitress and she didn't really say much she said she would let "them" know the food was good enough to eat but nothing like we were expecting. When we were half way through the food the waitress stopped by and just said "oh did the manager come talk to you guys already?" And we just told her no so she just kind of brushed it off and walked away. Finally we finished and my husband had to call the waitress over to ask for the bill, once she brought it she just said "oh I removed the drink charges due to the issue with the sauce" that was fine and all but honestly our whole first time experience had already been ruined so that didn't matter any more. We paid out bill and left, I can honestly say we will never come back to this place! The service is horrible and the food is nothing special. The staff is super disorganized and need a ton of training in customer service, the place was a disaster! Yes they just opened and it was fairly busy but nothing like the other places we've been to and still they have way better customer service and the food is way more worth your time and money. I would suggest for people to go to any Juicy Crab instead. read more

We sat at the bar that was a mistake. The service was terrible. I had to ask to get my wife's drink a second time and waitress was rude when I asked her. The bar looked sloppy. There were drink glasses still left on the counter from previous customers that stayed there the entire time we ate. We ordered their clam chowder and they brought out gumbo then the chowder tasted like it came from Campbell Soup. I ordered crab legs and my wife tilapia basket. We had to ask for silverware then had to ask for nut crackers for the crab legs. Took them awhile to find them and then they had to wash them in the sink in front of us. Legs were decent and tilapia was good. But needless to say we are not going back. Seafood in Hiram was a nice thought. Oh well read more

The only reason this place gets 2 stars is because their food is decent. I'm not one to leave bad reviews, however went in to eat at this place and it took over an hour to get served our food. They were not even busy at the time we went. Let's not forget to mention with a party of 6, 2 orders were forgotten about and were not put in. So that extended the time even more. SERVICE IS SLOW. Tried to order take out because of this, said 25 min wait. We arrive to find out our order was never put in because they were out of salmon. Absolutely crappy service and communication. The good and bad... The good was the catfish basket I ordered. Came out hot, fresh and tasted great. The bad is that I got a very small portion for the price and had enough fries for 2 orders. Another person with me got a shrimp boil. They told me it simply had no flavor. Wasn't bad, just not good. The good was our server. MJ was great, friendly and energetic, when we saw her. The bad was the reason we didn't see her much was that she was running all the tables by herself. I asked about other servers and/or mgmnt. She told me that there were 2 mangers in the back office just sitting. No manager ever came out to check on anyone. Again, MJ great, management bad. Overall not impressed at all. That was not what I expected. If you're a fan of a traditional low-country boil, this is not the place. A half ear of corn, a single red potato, and the protein of your choosing are served in a heavy oily sauce, not a broth created by the cooking of the ingredients. The items are brought out to you in a plastic bag in which they have been heated and combined, and it's your responsibility to pour them into a metal bowl. This is nearly impossible without getting some of the oily material in the bag on your tabletop, or worse, on your person. You then have a greasy bag for which there is no place to dispose of it. We got lunch today from Wild Crab. Our experience was excellent. Our server was Donald and this young did an absolutely excellent job in providing superior customer service. I highly recommend that you request bring seated in his area. Our food was fantastic. We had crab legs, shrimp, calamari, hush puppies, corn and potatoes. Nice and clean a less crowded and more customer service friendly than Juicy Crab. Drinks aren't as good and food not as seasoned as my Juicy Crab however they are worth a second visit. All the seafood was shellfish, including 3 different types of crab (impressive). You buy .5 or 1 pound of the shellfish you want and get it in a bag with corn and potatoes. Everyone seems to experience something different here. Food is good, drinks are calibrated correctly. Restrooms are clean, table and floors included. My first time was outstanding but my second visit not so much. I notice that the poor service was due to the fact that the manager was not in the building. Assistant manager appears to be encouraging slacking among employees. Just my observation. Its a new restaurant, they are still working out the kinks. I'm a seafood addict, I've been there several times since they opened. There were problems with 3 out of the 4 of my dine-in orders. Two of those incidents were corrected quickly without issue. One of them was pretty bad, the waitress was rude (I think her name was Mary), however the manager did add a credit to the bill. There have been some inconsistency with the sauces (taste and heat level). I continue to go because its close to home...I'll just refuse that waitress if I get her again... If you love Seafood like I do, skip this place. I grew up on the Ocean so I really know how things should tase. The food in this place is bland and has absolutely NO taste. The Shrimp and the Oysters are better out of a box at Kroger. The Clam Chowder tastes like potato soup. Our service was absolutely horrible. Took 45 Minutes to get a glass of tea. Over an hour to get food. Saw my waitress 2 times in an hour and a half. Never ever Again. You want good tasting Seafood? To to Douglasville and try out Gumbeaux's Cajun Cafe. Tariq! Love ya, buddy!! You are the most professional and friendly server I've come across in an insane amount of time! You might remember me from our short conversation regarding a similar restaurant in South Carolina and the sauce. Now, on to the food! As far as my experience with this restaurant, it was very pleasant. The food (fried shrimp and son had fried tilapia) was great. Everything cooked perfectly. Flavor was superb. It was just before the lunch rush when we got there so being seated fast was not a concern because, well, we were seated P.D.Q. Hostess was super friendly. Now I'm going to comment on what I've seen in other reviews. Buckle up, buttercup! From what I understand, this place is fairly new. People were so excited for it to open up. As was I. The scathing reviews about this place were a little shocking. Complaining about the food, complaining about the service, complaining about this and that. This place does not deserve a 1 star rating. Yes, people might have found a hair in their food. One even found a staple (that one is an exception). As far as a hair, look at the bright side! It could've been worse. Just sayin'. Sure, every restaurant has kinks to work out. It's not necessarily the entire restaurant's fault because a cook in the kitchen doesn't tie his/her hair properly. And from what I read, the restaurant made amends! You got free food! But NOOOOOO! You still point it out here on Yelp what a terrible place this is. If I had found a hair in my food, I'd politely ask for another order. And after I received my order, politely check for discrepancies. As long as the situation is resolved, there's no reason to belittle the restaurant with your nasty comments! Sure, you can post what happened, but include the way the took care of the problem! The restaurant fixed the problem and you still aren't happy. Who'd want a customer like you anyway?! I sure as hell wouldn't! To Wildcrab directly, I think your place is great!
