While exploring all of the shops at Vail we happened upon Wild Bills. We couldn't really tell if the shop was open because it was so dark inside, but noticed another patron going in and followed them. Lots of really cool leather goods, hats, kids toys, jewelry, western items, decorations, etc. The wares they had were great, so why the two stars? The gentleman behind the counter barely acknowledged us and ignored us for another customer who was taking his time deciding on expensive purchases and shipping back to New York. All I wanted to purchase was a carved wooden bear that I thought was really cool but at $15 it seems it wasn't enough to catch his attention or even an "I'll be right with you." There was no one else in the shop but us and the other patron. After fifteen minutes of waiting and wandering, we put it back on the shelf and left. read more

Staff is knowledgeable and friendly, about every unique thing in the store! The man who runs the store is like straight out of the Wild West and has a story for everything. Being right in the heart of vail some things are more modestly priced than others but all amazing quality. Never a dull moment at wild bills. read more
