My friend needed a wig for thinning hair and I wanted a clip on top extension for some thinning spots on my part. My hairdresser half told me there were a few more in the back. Catherine suggested I might have alopecia areata. I have an dermatologist appointment next week and it is getting worse. I will be back for a wig soon. Catherine has a wealth of knowledge about all things hair, scalp and wig related . She chose the perfect colors and most flattering styles for the both of us. I was both grateful and impresses. I am a Look Good Feel Better volunteer for 8 years and was given her name by one of our programs participants, a very nice woman undergoing chemo for breast cancer. She had a great wig that was very reasonable. What impressed me the most was how generous she was with her time and knowledge. A sweetheart!

I walked in, we chatted for a few minutes and I showed her a pic of how I normally wear my hair. The first wig she put on and I looked just like myself. it was astonishing!! She cares about her customers, and wants them to feel great when they walk out the door. She also gave me more information, about when my hair would start falling out, than anyone else had. Because of her I was not blindsided when it started. I was expecting it. She helped me fill out the paperwork for my insurance company too so I could get reimbursed ASAP! After wearing the wig for the first time, the hair was a little long around my face. I went back to Cathy and she cut more bangs into the wig and framed my face. it is now perfection. I pull in into a barrette, which is what I did with my own hair and even my husband and son forget I have no hair (for now:)) I will be making another appointment for a shorter wig for when my hair starts growing again so I can transition from long wig to short wig to short hair! Thank you Cathy! you have made this process so much easier for me!

Grays are gone!…read more Thanks to Tess, who expertly matched my natural hair color and recognized that I didn't need a full dye. Instead, she recommended root coverage with a gloss for my ends, which turned out to be exactly what I needed! Danielle then gave me a thorough wash, applied a shine boost, and finished everything off with a beautiful blowout. What I appreciated most was how both Tess and Danielle talked me through each step, listened to my preferences, and made sure I was happy with the process. The results were exactly what I wanted, especially since I was getting ready for a friend's wedding that afternoon! For comparison, I had previously visited a Madison Reed location in Manhattan and had a much less satisfying experience. My hair ended up significantly darker than my natural color, and the blowout felt rushed and lacked any consultation about how I wanted my hair styled. I'm so glad I decided to give Madison Reed a second chance, and even happier that I chose this location! Tess and Danielle completely turned my impression around, and I left feeling beautiful and ready for the wedding. Highly recommend!

I finally decided to just do an all-over color to cover up the grown-out mess. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Madison Reed offers partial highlights. By pure luck, I ended up in Kyle's chair, and I can honestly say these are the best highlights I've ever had! Not only did they turn out absolutely beautiful, but they were also a fraction of what I've paid elsewhere. I can't thank Kyle enough for bringing my confidence back. He is incredibly talented, and Madison Reed is lucky to have him. He is a true asset to the salon!
