I had a good experience with this place prior to my most recent experience. I don't eat at Wienerschnitzel that often, so I'm not too familiar with the menu. Last time was a drive-thru order, and there was already a mistake with my order then. This time, I wish the person who took my order was more transparent with me in terms of what I ordered. I can understand that I ordered a chili cheese dog which was $3.99, but I did not realize that an all-beef chili cheese dog is a $1.50 upgrade. In addition, I ordered a Texas BBQ dog that already had a price at $5.09. This is why it was confusing to me that my Texas BBQ dog was cheaper than my chili cheese dog. I think any of the workers should inform the customer that they charge extra for an all beef dog. Yes I can see it on the menu, but it can be easy to miss especially when the Texas BBQ dog has a fixed price on the menu. Even in receipt it doesn't show an extra charge for my chili cheese dog. Places like Chipotle at least have the mindfulness to tell customers that they charge extra for certain items even if it is listed on the menu above. I know obviously these are two different food chains, but I'd like to address these things so that we can be more aware about the things we order. I went through the drive through spent $27 and change for Chili dogs, fries and corn dogs. The fries old and cold horrible. The hot dogs we great except there was less then a teaspoon of chili on each one. The corn dogs were fantastic. If they put the right amount of Chili on the dogs and the fries were hot not cold and old I would of given them a 5 star review. What is so strange is when I went through the drive through I specifically told them make sure the fries are hot and fresh. I checked it as I left and should of gone back, but I waited over 30 min to order the food as the line was really long. I hope they take my advise to better the legend of the largest Hot Dog Chain in the world. However even Rome fell. Give the people value for their dollar by not cheating them and hardly dressing the hot dog with chili is not representative of the name Weinerschinitzel quality. read more

My wife and I went through the drive through and when we got home we noticed a portion of our order was missing. We tried calling several times and no one answered. We then drove back and the lady gave us a hard time. When the employee who took our order verified that we were telling the truth the other lady handed us the missing items and didn't even apologize or provide us with any compensation for the mistake they made. This place is my go to for everything hot dog related. The bread is soft and the dogs have the nice tender inside along with the snappy outside. But you can't forget they also have great chili fries. We ordered two shakes one was the cotton candy shake and one was the fruit loop shake, the cotton candy shake tasted nothing like cotton candy, and the fruit loop shake tasted expired and you could obviously tell that the fruit loops in the shake were stale. We were very upset at this. On top of that the food took forever to make and the lady who was taking our order was very unresponsive. Decided to come here for lunch, the line was extremely long and now I know why... ordering via drive thru ‍ the guy kept interrupting while I tried to order so it took extra long since had to repeat myself.. not sure if the AC is working but poor dude was sweating and fanning himself... Probably the worst drive thru experience I've ever had. Happened 5/25/21 11 PM Had a craving for some chili cheese dogs and I go to the La Puente location. Got to the drive thru and wait a couple of mins before getting greeted. The gentleman who took my order kept sighing like he was in distress. Finished ordering and I pull up to the drive thru. I see this man fanning himself, like he's inside a sauna,while taking another persons order. After he took my money and gave me my change he disappeared for literally 10 minutes. So I'm here in front of the drive thru window for 10 minutes without seeing an employee. I wait patiently until I had enough. 9mins and 48 secs had lapsed before until I had enough. I open the window because I haven't seen anyone for 10 minutes and I can hear people talking. I say, "Hello, when am I going to get my order". This is when the gentleman who took my order quickly comes around the corner and grabs a bag that had been sitting there the entire time and hands it to me. My order was ready but they couldn't bothered to hand it to me. But the worst part is when I drive around, I see a female employee straight mad dogging me like she wanted to fight me. I mean the death stare from High School days when you didn't like someone. So of course I step out of the car to ask for her name. She yells "Marybeth" I couldn't really hear through the closed door. Read the reviews before I came and I couldn't stop laughing at how accurate these other reviews were. I was fortunate/unfortunate to see the manager yelling at his employees and walking away referring them as"bunch of kids" as it was a dramatic show while I waited for my food. It was quite amusing and entertaining. I felt sort of bad for the employees. I wish I could give them zero or 1/4 stars. The service at this location is beyond terrible. This evening, I went to the drive-thru. I ordered a combination of sandwiches and 2 banana splits. The person filling the order put the hot sandwiches at the bottom of a bag and put the banana splits on top of them. As if that wasn't bad enough, she set it on the counter for several minutes while the guy working the window walked outside to take an order because he couldn't understand the person on the intercom. After several minutes, the one who filled the order shoved the bag out the window, saying "It's all in there" then slammed the window shut. I immediately took the sandwiches out, but they were cold and the banana splits were puddles. Seriously, how much common sense does it take to keep hot food in one bag and cold stuff in another? I wanted to do something bad on New Year's eve so I decided to get some fast food, " A pound??!! of Chicken Dippers?" I heard the girl say over the intercom as though she's never hear that ordered even though it's right there on the drive up menu; well it's $9.99 plus so I figured for that amount of dough they would just give me a pound... they gave me 8 oz. instead. With the 3 sauces and fistful of napkins it felt like more out of the window but it was definitely half a pound when I weighed it at home, that's just laziness in my opinion; usually a full pound comes in two Chili Fry boxes but this load came in two Hot Dog boxes; if the franchisee had a website I would complain but it's about to be a new year so I'm going to let it go but if I go back I will definitely order inside so I can see the rip-off right away. Classic example of a great employee. My receipt says her name is Samantha. I am on the road quite a bit so I do drive through quite a bit. I have stopped at this location 3 times now and every single time this person has been courteous and professional. Always pleasant, respectful and ready with a great smile. In comparison to the other food chains surrounding this location, this store could give them lessons on how to treat customers. I would highly recommend this store because of this employee.
