When entering I wasn't really looking forward to my meal as I was expecting yet another rustic, old school fish restaurant that keeps it simple, like so many in this region at the sea - but the food pleasantly surprised be. It's not overly pretentious, but they really try to offer you something a bit different. And when that is combined with quality fish and people who know what they are doing, then you have a winning formula. Service is a bit more old-school like the decor of the place, meaning not especially welcoming - but it wasn't a deal breaker. Nothing fancy here, nothing you´ve never seen before - just honest, fresh fish. Tried the Matjes - awesome. Tried the Fish soup - awesome. Tried the steamed flounder - awesome. Tried the fried codfish with homemade remoulade - nothing short of spectacular. The Prices are very reasonable, service is friendly and quick. The decor is so old and kitsch that it´s awesome again. This place hasn't changed in decades - and that´s not a bad thing here. Reservations during the summer months are necessary.
