I would recommed Wickes if you need building supplies. I found them really helpful and they gave lots of advice. There are quite a few places to get building supplies in Preston, but this place is as good as any. They're close to the docks where you can find the other shops you'll need for any type of DIY and most building projects, which is really handy for getting things done quickly.
