The wick squash club is a nice warm place to go, squash is a game where two players have to hit a…read moreball, the same idea as tennis but a softer ball against a wall, and then the opponent has to return the ball back onto the wall only allowing one bounce, the club itself is always a good place to go for a fun sporting day out. You have to supply your own racket and balls but apart from that, there is no downside to this amazing little club. Highly reccomnded for all members of the family, five star rating from me

Thurso Squash courts are very clean. They have two courts, they also have male and female changing…read moreroom's both with bathrooms and shower's for after play. Above the courts they have a view area and there is also a drinks machine above the courts. The courts get nice and warm after playing. Its £1-£2 per play on the courts. The lights go of after play is over for either courts and so you have to come off cause you cannot see where the ball is. The Squash courts are opposite the tennis courts and right next to the boating pond. Just up the road there is thurso's swimming pool.

The Orkney Club is a private members club situated in Kirkwall, near the harbour. It is a lovely…read moreold building, with quite dated decor. There's a room downstairs which is like being in someone's house - a bit of a strange venue if you're out for a drink. The main bar is much better - comfortable seating, and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff presence can be a bit hit and miss, depending on who is working, but generally the service is fast and the staff cheery. Best of all - the drink is very cheap. Through the back of the bar is the fuction room/games room with a pool table and dart board. The toilets are quite basic - but functional. Upstairs are 2 full sized snooker tables, and regular competitions are held.
